Kevyn Aucoin Sunset The Neo-Blush Trio Review, Photos, Swatches
Sunset
Kevyn Aucoin Sunset The Neo-Blush Trio ($38.00 for 0.20 oz.) blends to a medium coral with warm undertones and a golden sheen. All three shades had good pigmentation, blendability, and long-wear whether used individually or swirled together. For a gradient effect, I recommend applying the middle shade first onto the apples of the cheeks, then using the left shade to highlight, and finish by deepening the lower edge of the blush (almost like a contour) with the right shade.

Formula Overview
$38.00/0.2 oz. - $190.00 Per Ounce
Each trio includes a mix of pearl, satin, and matte blushes that gently "fade into each other" with a "micro-fine pressed powder" that feels like "silk" with "intensely pigmented color." The shades can be used individually or swirled together, per the brand. It is easiest to use the blush half-and-half or altogether, but a tapered highlighting brush can fit into each of the three sections without much fuss. The texture was, generally, soft and blendable with pigmentation that varied shade by shade but was usually more pigmented than not. It was harder to keep the matte shades truly matte as once I used the blush together, it was hard to completely remove any residual shimmer from the matte shade(s).

Sunset #1
Sunset #1 is a light-medium orange with warm undertones and a golden, metallic sheen. It had opaque color payoff that applied evenly and smoothly to my cheeks. The texture was soft without being powdery, and it was easy to diffuse and blend out on my skin. It emphasize my skin’s natural texture slightly when worn at full coverage. It started to fade on me after eight and a half hours of wear.

Sunset #2
Sunset #2 is a bright, medium-dark coral with warm undertones and a satin sheen. The pigmentation was nearly opaque in a single layer, and it was easily built up to full coverage with less than half of a layer on top. The consistency was soft, smooth, and silky to the touch without being too powdery or too firmly pressed in the pan. I had no trouble applying nor diffusing the edges of the blush on my cheeks. It wore well for nine hours on me before fading slightly.

Sunset #3
Sunset #3 is a bright, medium-dark coral-red with warm undertones and a matte finish. The blush was very pigmented, though just a smidgen shy of full coverage in one layer. The texture was silky and soft without being powdery or too thin, and I was impressed by how little effort it took to apply, blend, and diffuse the edges of this shade in practice. It did turn a bit pinker the more I buffed and worked it into my skin, though. The color stayed on nicely for nine hours on me.

I have this one as well and it is probably one of the most gorgeous coral blushes I have ever used!!!
Based on recent question, I only have one coral blush. This one is a beauty and worth the price tag. I think I will get this one and see if I can make coral work better for me.
Not that I need it, but boy oh boy, do I love it! These are exactly my type of corals. From a softer golden, almost highlighter blush shade, to a super rich, brilliant red-coral, with an everyday gold infused pinky-coral, it covers it. And the quality looks awesome, too!
Gorgeous coral shades.
OMG, this trio is stunning!!! This is definitely going on my wish list.
coral, peachy blushes is all i wear and i accidentally stumbled upon these during the sephora spring sale and this one was screaming at me so i immediately got it and omg this is all i have worn since! LOVE the formula and the color! My cheeks have a tendency of “eating blush” n this has lasted over 10 hours on me and that is without setting my cheeks. I already own the neo setting powder (which is pretty awful very chalky) and the neo highlight (which is great!) so all i need is the neo bronzer to complete my collection!
