Skin tone: MAC NC23! Light to light medium. With prominent warm/yellow undertones.

Favourite look I wore this week: my favourite look this week, was a neutral eye, (using matte warm browns in the crease, and NARS Valhalla on the lids to brighten!) With Kat Von D cathedral studded kiss lipstick! Which is a nice pinky brown on me! I’m REALLY digging fall looks right now!

Most used product of the week: believe it or not, iv been wearing Garniers oily skin “bb cream” every day for the past 2 weeks! It’s light coverage, blends in super easily, is a night light yellow shade. And if it comes off, it’s barely noticeable!

Any new beauty discoveries: not a beauty discovery. But it’s starting to cool WAY down here in my part of southern Ontario! It’s been king sweater, and tights/leggings weather here! And I’m LOVING IT!!!

Shannon, I’m with you on loving the cooler temps. I opened the bedroom window last night and actually had to get up to pull up a warmer cover which was SO nice. I took my daughter for high tea the other day and was able to wear leggings, closed shoes and a nice long, snuggly cardigan. Welcome change!

Mariella, I today share your excitement for the season change! I’m so so tired of the hot and humid weather we have been having!!! Ugh!

My wardrobe is all blazers and cardigans. So I’m looking forward to bringing it all out!!!!

My skin tone/coloring:
Light neutral skin tone, dark hair with gray highlights, green eyes

Favorite look you wore:
Nearly nude eyes with bright lipstick at work. Usually, I do full eye makeup with muted lipstick, so this was a fun change.

Most used product of the week:
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in the shade Paaarty. Received a free sample and I like it a lot.

Any new beauty discoveries:
Tarte Shape Tape over Smashbox Under Eye Primer works great. Also, MAC Pro Longwear Waterproof Nourishing Foundation holds up better all day without any primer underneath, oddly enough.

My skin tone/coloring: Medium w/ olive undertones MAC NC37 or Lancôme Teint Idole 24H Foundation N360, deep brunette, blue-green eyes w/ gold flecks.

Favorite look you worn: An all purple monochromatic look several days ago! Used Viseart Amethyst Theory palette w/ MAC Waveline Fluidline for my winged eyeliner, UD Noho with Jawbone plus DoC Mírame on cheeks, ABH Rage Matte Lipstick w/ Nyx Purple Rain Slim Lip Pencil underneath to define.

Most used product of the week: Lancôme Teint Idole 24H Foundation again!

Any new beauty discoveries: That my skin HATES It CC Cream! Couldn’t figure out why I was again plagued with some cystic acne breakouts, which got under control using Sunday Riley UFO, but was STILL getting whiteheads the day after wearing a full face of makeup. Until I switched back over to using my Lancôme foundation just because I had 2 days in a row where I really needed my base to be long-lasting. Guess what? NO whiteheads, no zits of any kind the next day! Never had issues with my trusty BB cream by Lumene, either. Just found out where I can still buy it, so I definitely will. Turns out that my daughter hates It CC Cream for the exact same reason!

Mariella Avatar

Oh, what a shame, Nancy, I’ve been using IT CC Cream for 3 tubes! (that seems the most accurate way of explaining how long I’ve used it) and I’ve never had any trouble with it but we are all so different. I love that it combines everything I need – moisturizer, some coverage and SPF 50. In winter, I’ll use a moisturizer or add a few drops of facial oil to it and sometimes I mix in an illuminator if I want a bit of dewiness. I feel so bad that it gave you skin issues. I hope you can find someone it works for to take it off your hands

Mariella, I am so bummed about it not working for me! I thought for sure it would, because I hadn’t heard anything negative about it, so I just went for it. The stuff with my skin started off slowly enough that I didn’t stop to think it could be the It CC Cream. Besides, I’ve never had truly fabulous skin, so I blamed the cystic bumps on our high humidity, stress, hormones, what have you, but not on the CC Cream. Told my daughter what had happened, only to find out that she also had something happen to her skin, too. Sooo weird!

Skin tone: Very pale with cool undertones.

Favorite look this week: I just got Buxom shadow called “LaLa” and wanted to use it. It is a very pale lavender with lots of shimmer. It has a white base. I used MAC Omega in my crease and above as my transition and then placed LaLa all over the mobile lid. I used Becca Pearl as my browbone highlight and inner corner highlight. I didn’t really have a blush that I liked with the look so ended up using Tarte Parrrrty very lightly and used the tarte liquid lip that came with the Parrrty blush, can’t remember the name of the liquid lip.

New beauty discoveries: I had watched a YT video reviewing the Dermacol foundation and the interviewer said that the foundation was pretty oily, very full coverage and caused her to break out. I thought about trying it as a foundation as I normally like a pretty full coverage and ordered it for that purpose. I don’t mind it although I haven’t used it much as a foundation. What I have liked is using it as a concealer over my hyperpigmentation. I have used it both under and over my foundation and really liking the coverage. We will have to see if it breaks me out. Luckily, I don’t have particularly sensitive skin.

I just bought La La Lavish from Buxom today. I’m such a sucker for duo chrome iridescent shades. I’m not a huge purple fan but I like how unique it is

My skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool

Favorite look you worn: MAC Red Necessity Huggable Lipcolour (I don’t know what I’ll do when I finish it – probably have a good cry), Lise Watier Bronze Glam eyeshadow pencil/crayon-y thing, Sephora Cappuccino liner, MAC Rosy Cheeks blush

Most used product of the week: Lise Watier SunSmart (again), Chanel Tisse Rivoli quad

Any new beauty discoveries: That you can actually pry the top off MAC’s Pro Longwear Concealer bottles to get the very last bit out and given how concentrated that concealer is and how little you need, it’s at least a month’s worth of product. The lid comes off and can be replaced quite easily, which totally surprised me.

My skin tone/coloring: pale, dark blueish brown hair, gray eyes

Favorite look you worn: nude/silver eyes with red lipstick for pictures that had to be taken

Most used product of the week: Anastasia Beverly hills liquid lipstick in American Doll

Any new beauty discoveries: Belif truth bomb moisturizer, I love the aqua bomb but grabbed the wrong one last trip to Sephora. I’m now not mad about it.

My skin tone/coloring: Fair with pink undertones

Favorite look you worn: I wore the Wet n Wild Au Natural palette (dupe of UD Naked Rosegolds) and their Catsuit liquid lipstick in Rebel Rose. I actually was surprised at the quality of the liquid lipstick, it lasted for many hours and wasn’t drying. The overall look was shades of pink.

Most used product of the week: Milani gel eyeshadow in Bella Chiffon, which I always use as an eye highlighter…but why do they call it “gel”? It’s just powder, lol.

Any new beauty discoveries: I got the Tarte Twinkle 2 highlighter palette and I hadn’t owned a highlighter previously bc I wasn’t a “highlighter person,” but I really like it and I’m hooked. I love highlighter now.
+ I just got NYX matte lipstick “Shocking Pink” for $2, and it’s not something I would’ve picked up at full price bc I usually don’t like hot pink, but I actually really like it. Leaving your comfort zone is interesting.

Bonus: I’m getting the Dose of Colors solid lipstick in Karma in the mail, so I hope it’s as good as the liquid lipstick.

Erica Avatar

Haha I don’t know why it’s called gel either. I really love those Milani eyeshadows though. I’ve hit major pan on Bella Ivory. I’ll have to pull out Bella Chiffon:)

My skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones

Favourite look you worn: I used my Guerlain Les Verts for the first time in a long time this week – darker green on lid, deepish brown/taupe in the crease, with the mint shade blended over. I was very happy with it. I paired it with my EA Ginger Spice lipstick – both hues go very well together.

Most used product of the week: Innika brow pencil in taupe – an Australia cruelty free brand and their brow pencils are just perfect.

Any new beauty discoveries: No, not really.

My skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.

Favorite look you worn: Eyes — UD Primer Potion in Enigma. Coastal Scents Hollywood Cerise, Paprika, and Petal Peach with ColourPop Birthday Girl on the lids. Double cat eye using Tarte Clay Pot Liners in Black and Bubblegum. Tarte Lights, Camer, Lashes mascara. Cheeks — Tarte Dollface and ABH Pink Hearts. Lips — Wet n Wild x Fergie V.I.Pink lined with BH Waterproof Lipliner in Candy.

Most used product of the week: Other than staples, Wet n Wild Midnight Mermaid Collection Color Icon Metallic Liquid Eyeshadows. I’m usually not a fan of liquid eyeshadows, but these are really pretty on the mobile lids.

Any new beauty discoveries: GlamTech on etsy makes beauty blending sponge holders. I was going to order a custom palette, and ended getting a sponge holder with a unicorn on it. I requested the same design on my custom palette. 🙂

Skintone fair with freckles
Favorite make up look was a bold eye look with Illamasqua Demuse and a red lip with Illamasqua red lip gloss from the red lip set. I tightlined my eyes with black and it tied the look together while normally, black is too harsh on my eyes.

Most used product is Mac False Lashes mascara sample.

A beauty discovery is that lining Maybelline Nude Embrace with CT Pillow Talk makes it look good in its own. Otherwise I always too it with a lipgloss.
