Charlotte Tilbury Dangerous Liaison & Screen Siren Hollywood Lips Matte Liquid Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Dangerous Liaison
Charlotte Tilbury Dangerous Liaison Hollywood Lips Matte Liquid Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark reddish plum with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. The color payoff was opaque in a single layer, and the color applied evenly on the lips. The texture was airy, thin, and mousse-like, so it did not feel like it slid around when worn and was easy to keep the product even along the edges of my lips. This was one of the more flattering shades and was more forgiving with respect to my lip lines. On me, it lasted for five hours and was neither drying nor hydratnig.

Formula Overview
$34.00/0.24 oz. - $141.67 Per Ounce
The formula is described as having the glide "like a gloss" with a "soft-focus matte" finish that will "nurture your lips like a cream" while having "full coverage." The texture of the formula was mousse-like without a lot of slip or wetness; it definitely felt more velvety and smooth with an airy quality to its "thickness." The color spread comfortably across the lips and typically yielded semi-opaque to opaque coverage that went on evenly but sometimes settled into my lip lines.
I did not find them to be particularly long-wearing--more like a standard bullet lipstick than a more traditional liquid lipstick, which was likely due to the fact that these never fully set or dried down on me. They had a semi-matte to satin finish that wore down to a matte finish (after two to three hours). The wear ranged from three to five hours on me and was fairly comfortable, though I would not describe the formula as hydrating.
The applicator is supposed to be like a stiletto heel, and it had a very steep angle that I did not find hugged my lips as well as the brand seemed to design it to--there are a lot of other doe-foot-like applicators that are more curved now to hug the lips that have been easier to use. The steepness of Charlotte Tilbury's applicator is what made it harder to apply for me, and I ended up using the other side for a lot of my upper lip.
The formula had a sweet, vanilla scent that was slightly noticeable on the lips but no discernible taste.

Screen Siren
Charlotte Tilbury Screen Siren Hollywood Lips Matte Liquid Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark red with cool, blue undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation, but the color went on evenly and smoothly, and it sat the best on my lips out of all ten shades available. This shade did not sink into my lip lines during initial application nor did it do so later on as I wore it, which was a major plus. The texture was smooth, velvety, and mousse-like, which made it easy to get crisper edges than with a traditional liquid lipstick, which would have a lot more slip. The lipstick wore well for six hours, left a faint stain behind, and was non-drying.

Have to admit she does good reds. This one is 34$ for .24 oz. and the hourglass dupe is the same price for .03 oz. The CT has 8x the amount! Never looked at CT as a budget brand before… still wish there were a look-site locally. Really only feel comfortable with online only, once I have experienced the product.
They are pretty colors, though certainly dupable!
CT lipsticks are so hard for me to get right when purchasing online. Many of her nude and pink shades are too light for me. I feel confident with Dangerous Liaisons since I know it’s a warm shade but am in no hurry to buy it.
Your comment made me decide that Dangerous Liaison is a bargain. 🙂 I’ve never ordered from Beautylish before; I guess I’m overdue.
I am liking DL:)
Yay!
I got Dangerous Liason last week and am really loving it, the formula is really good. I’m going to order Screen Siren today!
Happy to hear it, Alice!
Thanks for the enabling, I mean update:). The blue undertones of siren look really nice;). I would like to have a mini of each shade..cause it is hard to narrow down a pick.
I like the looks of this pair.. the least moussey looking of the bunch so far. I’m not down with liquid lipstick though.. tried enough to know it will never be my thing.
I hear ya! I feel like I would just so, so rarely reach for a lot of them by choice.
Haha! I knew there was a reason that I liked Dangerous Liasons so much! Of course, I have Rouge Vie and Retro already, and both receive much love come autumn.
Surprisingly, I do NOT have any of the listed dupes or possible dupes for Screen Siren, though. However, I am fairly swimming in gorgeous reds already that are literally begging to be used up!
This is more like it. I like both. I feel like I’d be better served with dupes.
Both of these are gorgeous shades and pretty good ratings too.
Well, at least the reds are scoring well! If they can’t get the reds right, not much hope for the other colors!
For the first time in this collection, I’m intrigued by Dangerous Liaison. I like that it is semi-matte, opaque and long-lasting. Both shades look lovely abd brightening on you, Christine.
Dangerous Liaison is stunning. Seriously … I keep compulsively going back to look at it. I sooooo wish it weren’t $34 — it’s not that I can’t afford it, I’m just not sure I can justify it.
Haven’t been on in a while and I just noticed your new(ish?) feature of the little tabs to toggle and see ingredients and overview – it’s BRILLIANT!!!! also loving your whole makeup look in these photos!!!!
Both of these are really lovely and I like and want them both. I’m in no hurry to buy any new lip products though, first I need to get all my makeup organized (again).
I was so surprised when I noticed that I didn’t even have one dupe for Screen Siren. I mean it’s a red! I have a lot of red lipsticks and not even one dupe! How can that even be?
I do however think I’d get Dangerous Liaison first, as it feels a bit autumny and again, no dupes.
