Freak Like Me

ColourPop Freak Like Me Pressed Powder Highlighter ($8.00 for 0.23 oz.) is a medium copper with warm, orange undertones and a frosted, slightly metallic finish. It had opaque pigmentation that was easy to work with on the skin whether I wanted sheer, more diffused coverage or a more intense, ultra-metallic finish. The more I sheered it out, the more golden and less orange-brown it looked on my skin tone. The powder had a soft, smooth consistency that was a little creamy and on the denser side, but it was never difficult to pick up with a brush or to blend out on the skin. The shimmery finish did not seem to emphasize my skin’s natural texture. This shade lasted well for eight and a half hours on me.

Formula Overview

$8.00/0.23 oz. - $34.78 Per Ounce

The powder highlighter is supposed to have a "high-shine" finish with "high colour intensity." In general, ColourPop's pressed highlighter powders have a smooth, moderately dense texture that was soft enough to be picked up easily by a brush but not kick up any powder in the pan. The formula was semi-opaque to opaque but easily sheered out for less shine and coverage if desired. There were a few shades within the range that emphasized my skin's natural texture slightly but most did not. The wear ranged from seven and a half hours to nine hours.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! It really does look lovely applied! But not one I need, though. I seem to have amassed several of its dupes: ABH Glo Getter, CP Butterfly Beach and DoC MΓrame. These are some of my favorite highlighters too!
