Champs-Elysees

Viseart Champs-Elysees Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a pale yellow with golden shimmer that gave it a pearly finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation with a soft, lightly dusty consistency that adhered well to bare skin and blended out well–it was one of those shades that applied better in practice than it swatched. It wore well for eight hours on me before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview

-

The eyeshadow formula is supposed to be "pigment[ed]" with "smooth and even application" that is "long-lasting." The matte shades are typically semi-opaque to opaque but buildable with soft, velvety textures that can sometimes be a little powdery or slightly firm, depending on the shade. I find that the mattes are often best suited to someone who likes control over pigmentation and may prefer to build up color; they regularly perform better in practice than just swatched on the arm as well.

The shimmer shades range from satin to metallic, and the more metallic shades tend to feel creamier to the touch, while the satin ones have a fine pearl to them that looks almost melted on the lid once blended out. Both the mattes and shimmers are blendable and easy to work with. Most of Viseart's eyeshadows wear between seven and nine hours on me.

Terracotta (Siren #5)

Viseart Terracotta (Siren #5) Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a medium-dark, coppery brown with warm, orange undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which applied evenly and smoothly to my lid. The consistency was soft, a little dusty in the pan, but it didn’t sheer out too readily or give me issues with fallout. It stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before I noticed fading.

Saffron (Warm Mattes #4)

Viseart Saffron (Warm Mattes #4) Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a medium yellow with strong, warm undertones–leaning slightly orange-toned. The consistency was soft, blendable, and a smidgen powdery in the pan, but I just used a lighter hand and that seemed to minimize potential for fallout. The pigmentation was opaque in a single layer, and the color went on evenly without darkening or going on patchy (as some mattes can) over bare skin. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me before I noticed fading.

Well, I’m psyched that two of the three reasons I’ve been side-eyeing the warm neutrals palette are now for sale individually.

Of course another two of the three reasons are available in the warm edit for $15 more than the two individual shadows and that second one is only available in warm neutrals and in warm edit…

I think I’m going to err on the side of ‘I have too many eyeshadows already’.

BTW the warm edit review is currently glitching – it’s drawing its images (close up and swatch) from Saffron for three different shades (Saffron, Earth, and Chocolate). https://www.temptalia.com/viseart-warm-edit-eyeshadow-palette-review-swatches/ It wouldn’t be a big deal if shades like Chocolate weren’t used in multiple palettes, so had multiple individual swatches that aren’t all equally good, and I think the only way to figure out which is which is by the dates on the original reviews?)

Christine,
I was wondering what eyebrow product, brand, & color you use?
I ask because we have similar brow shades… I’ve been using MAC Brun shadow with an angled brush.
Recently bought Benefit Goof Prood in shade 4.5 as my brows are a neutral deep brown / brown-black. It matches but it may be a bit strong.

Thanks
Jen
