Urban Decay Space Cowboy 24/7 Razor Sharp Liquid Eyeliner
Urban Decay Space Cowboy 24/7 Razor Sharp Liquid Eyeliner ($22.00 for 0.07) is a medium gold with warm undertones and a sparkly sheen. It had opaque coverage in one stroke, which was a total surprise, as it was a lighter and more shimmery shade–and those have not performed well overall! The texture was still more watery than not, but it applied easily and lasted for ten hours. Chanel Or Rose (LE, $34.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). MAC Brassy (P, $16.00) is less shimmery (85% similar). Urban Decay Goldrush (P, $22.00) is lighter, brighter (85% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Mari(gold) (70) (P, $26.00) is less shimmery, lighter (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
Urban Decay Dark Force 24/7 Razor Sharp Liquid Eyeliner ($22.00 for 0.07) is a deep, subdued brown with subtle, warm, reddish undertones and gold glitter. It had semi-opaque coverage in a single pass, which was somewhat buildable with a second layer (just make sure to wait for the first one to completely dry!). The consistency was thin, water-like, but it was easy to maneuver the brush across the skin. It wore well for ten hours. Urban Decay Muse (LE, $22.00) is less shimmery, warmer (90% similar). MAC Local Wares (DC, $16.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Express-Oh! (LE, $26.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). MAC Past Twilight (DC, $16.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). ColourPop Juniper (LE, $7.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). Urban Decay Crave (DC, $22.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Zoeva Rock 'n' Roll Bride (P, $7.50) is cooler (90% similar). Urban Decay Corrupt (P, $22.00) is less shimmery, warmer (90% similar). Fenty Beauty Space Cookie (P, $22.00) is less shimmery, lighter, warmer (85% similar). NARS Last Frontier (P, $24.00) is less shimmery, lighter, cooler (85% similar). Chanel Bois Noir (58) (LE, $34.00) is less shimmery, cooler (80% similar). Urban Decay Demolition 24/7 Razor Sharp Liquid Eyeliner ($22.00 for 0.07) is a rich, deep brown with subtle, warm undertones and a satin sheen. It was richly pigmented and totally opaque in one stroke–this was a lot like Perversion–and had a thicker consistency that wasn’t by any means thick, but it was noticeably less watery compared to a lot of other shades. I had no trouble with wear, as it was still intact after ten hours. Bobbi Brown Mahogany (P, $24.00) is warmer (95% similar). MAC Lowlights (P, $16.00) is less glossy (95% similar). Urban Decay Stag (LE, $22.00) is less glossy (95% similar). MAC Past Twilight (DC, $16.00) is less shimmery, warmer, less glossy (95% similar). NARS Last Frontier (P, $24.00) is less glossy (95% similar). Urban Decay Rail (P, $20.00) is less glossy (95% similar). MAC Local Wares (DC, $16.00) is more shimmery (95% similar). Urban Decay Lush (P, $20.00) is lighter, warmer, less glossy (90% similar). Fenty Beauty In Big Truffle (P, $22.00) is lighter, less glossy (90% similar). Estee Lauder Blackened Cocoa (LE, $20.00) is warmer, less glossy (90% similar). ColourPop Call Me (P, $7.00) is lighter, cooler (90% similar). NARS Last Frontier (P, $24.00) is lighter (90% similar). Sephora Diving in Malaysia (18) (DC, $10.00) is more shimmery, warmer (90% similar). MAC Mole Brown (LE, $16.00) is less glossy (90% similar). Sephora Espresso Matte (P, $13.00) is less glossy (90% similar). Bobbi Brown Chocolate (LE, $24.00) is lighter, warmer (85% similar). ColourPop Stomper (P, $7.00) is lighter, warmer, less glossy (85% similar). Natasha Denona Brown (P, $24.00) is lighter, warmer, less glossy (80% similar). Urban Decay Demolition (P, $22.00) is lighter, warmer (80% similar). NARS Mambo (P, $24.00) is lighter, warmer (80% similar). Top 20 dupes listed, see the rest. FORMULA OVERVIEW | Urban Decay 24/7 Razor Sharp Liquid Eyeliner ($22.00 for 0.07 fl. oz.) is supposed to be a water-resistant, long-wearing, “intensely pigmented” liquid liner with an ultra-precise (thin) applicator. There are cream shades and metallic shades; the cream ones have a shiny finish (so none dry matte), while the metallic ones have a more pearly sheen. They require 20-30 seconds worth of shaking, or else you’ll end up with a more watery, sheerer consistency that is hard to work with. If shaken for long enough, everything mixes and most shades are semi-opaque to opaque and thin without feeling watered down, but it is a very wet, thin formula that takes 15-30 seconds to dry down (depends on the shade–metallics dried faster for me, on the whole). Once it dries down, it does seem to shrink slightly and I can feel it cling to my skin a bit. The applicator is thin and flexible enough to maneuver around the curve of the lid. Something that was somewhat frustrating is that the formula is so thin and wet that I do get some splattering when I open shades as well as when I apply (like a dot or two randomly on face).
These remove pretty easily with just water and a light rub, but they don’t come off just rubbing with a dry fingertip at all, so removing those spots requires real makeup remover or a dampened brush/cotton swab. During removal, the eyeliner flakes off in small chunks. If I just sprayed the eyeliner with water and lightly dab or blot (or even just let the water evaporate), they didn’t smudge, fade, or run. I didn’t have any issues with the wear of them–they all went for a full 10-hours before I removed.

Dark force is going to be my new favourite this season. Love Demolition as well. So wearable yet statement shades.
Agreed! 🙂
I’m happy to see some of these getting great reviews (I saw some of your previous reviews of other colors in this line, and the ratings were all over the place, I believe from A to D.) I swatches some colors of this in sephora and wasn’t impressed enough to buy, but maybe I was mistaken and should give these a shot. I need a new royal blue, and this line has one, which I believe was reviewed a week or two ago. I have chaos (UDs blue color) in the pencil liner and I don’t like it (it transfers badly, and fades), but my lancome drama liqui-pencil in blue is unusable and horrific now, so I’ve been using UD pencil instead. It’s so wierd: both blue pencils were pretty good at first and less than 4 months after use they are VERY difficult to apply now. Does anyone know if these pencil liners are only supposed to be used for a couple months, or if the bright blue pigment goes bad and becomes extremely waxy over time? Anyway, I’m going to try the new Razor Sharp liner in Chaos first, then maybe dark force.
They are really hit or miss, unfortunately! Some are nice, some take some work, and some are hard to use 🙁
I haven’t had any UD pencil liner ever dry out on me, to be honest! And I have had some for years!
I might need to get Demolition in this formula. It’s hard to get good brown liquid liners. Space Cowboy is really pretty.
Do let me know if you try it! 🙂
Dark force has to go on the list; would look great on upper lash line. The sparkle makes all the difference for my limited lid real estate. Puts me a little in mind of the new Chanel stylo in 929 Agape (both the red Eros 928 and red brown 929 are big hits for my hazel eyes), only this one in liquid form which tends to give me better wear time.
Let me know how you like Dark Force when you try it, Wendy!
I like the almost rose gold hue of Space Cowboy, but I have like 4 dupes/near-dupes already, so I’m going to pass.
Glad you have dupes, AB!
Oooooh these look gooooood!
Glad ya liked ’em!
I like the color for Dark Force, but disappointed it’s not opaque in one swipe. At $22 and with the UD name, I was expecting it to be. Space Cowboy looks like it’s an eye brightener
I totally understand, Katherine! I think most of us were expecting more pigment across this formula!
FINALLY; some really great ones! Performance wise. I do really love Dark Force and Space Cowboy! Not so sure how these will hold up on my watery eyes, though. My left eye feels like a proverbial waterfall…all day long. So far, only MJ Blacquer and Essence Midnight In Paris can hold up to it without breaking up badly. Thankfully, this is a on-again off-again pesky little thing!
I still will get Dark Force, though!?
There had to be a few winners!!
Demolition looks really nice. I’ve been wanting a new pigmented deep brown liner that one definitely fits the bill!
YAY!
All of these look nice. I’m sure many people will snap them up. I wasn’t too into Demolition when I first saw it but I think it will be a big hit with fair complected blondes!
It should work well for anyone who likes a deep brown liner!
Yep Erin, I’m giving Demolition some consideration (blonde w/fair complexion ?). I haven’t mastered liquid liners but thinking this one might be worth a try. I like that the color is intense but less harsh than black for daytime wear.
I really like Demolition! It almost reminds me of an oil slick, but in a good way? lol It’s such a lovely, rich brown.
I can see what you mean!
I like Space Cowboy!
Yay!
Just love a good gold….
Me too! 🙂
