Coloring: Under my name. Green eyes, s&p hair
Favorite Look: I was sick with a chest cold most of this week, so I only wore makeup on the days I went to work, keeping it relatively simple: Colourpop Precision Brow Colour in Cool Cocoa, Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Amethyst, Cover Girl Clump Crusher Mascara. FACE: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup in Desert Beige, Lancôme Effacernes Waterproof Concealer in Light Buff, RCMA No Color Powder, Colourpop Blush Stix in Mini Me. LIPS: NYX Butter Gloss in Angel Food Cake.
Most Used Products: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Lancôme Effacernes Waterproof Concealer, RCMA No Color Powder, NYX Butter Gloss, Colourpop Precision Brow Colour, and Colourpop Blush Stix.
Beauty Discoveries: Three products that I love! (1) Because I have a cold, I didn’t want to use an expensive lip product this week, so I decided to give NYX Butter Gloss a try. It hydrates my lips without being sticky. Very nice gloss. (2) Another product I’m enjoying is Colourpop Blush Stix. I am not used to cream blush, so it took several tries to figure out the best way to apply it to achieve a natural blush. The method that works best for me is to dab an e.l.f. Small Stipple Brush onto the stick, then very gently brush it onto my cheeks…it stays on all day. (3) Last year, I bought Colourpop’s Precision Brow Colour (the little pot of gel), but hadn’t tried it till now. I’d never used a gel brow product and I was surprised to see how easy it is to apply, how natural it looks, and how incredibly long it stays on! This is my new favorite brow product. The color I chose works better than the dark brown shades I’ve been using for years. So now what do I do with the Dark Brown ABH Brow Wiz backups that I recently bought on sale? (Sigh.)
I hope you are feeling better next week Seraphine, summer colds can be such a nuisance.
Thanks, Genevieve. This has been especially annoying because I have a bunch of new lipsticks I’ve been waiting to wear!
Get well soon, Seraphine!
Your skin tone/coloring: Next to my name! (Blue-green eyes)

Lips: Nyx Orange SLP, MAC Laundry List and Cake Top Lipglasses.
Your most used product this week: If it’s reminiscent of a sunset, then I likely wore it this past week! Seriously though, MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation in NC41, RCMA No Color Powder, Benefit Boi-ing Airbrush Concealer in Light, Maybelline Full & Soft WP mascara, UD Jawbone bronzer, Smashbox Fishnet Always On Eye Pencil.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old)? Yes! RCMA No Color Powder does a lovely and effective job of blurring my ugly pores! Finally, something kind of hides them!
Your skin tone/coloring: light, MAC NC 15-20, med brown hair and eyes, oily skin
Favorite look from the week: HUDA Orange Obsessions palette. MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Soft Ochre as eyeshadow primer. Set w Wet n Wild Creme Brulee. Put middle pastel orange from HUDA palette in crease and above. Put orange shimmer on eyelid. Benefit Rollerlash Mascara. Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation. Bare Minerals Mineral Veil to set. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer for under eyes. Set with Fenty Instant Retouch Setting Powder in Butter. No. 7 Maple Bronzer. Origins Pinch Your Cheeks Rose Dust Blush. Becca Moonstone Highlght. Pixi Lip Rose Treatment Lip Color.
Your most used product this week: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer. Origins Rose Dust Blush. Bare Minerals Mineral Veil Setting Powder. Otherwise I have switched up my products a lot!
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): HUDA Orange Obsessions. Fenty Instant Retouch Powder. I got a deluxe sample from Sephora and so far so good. Also picked up Becca Volcano Goddess palette from TJ Maxx. I think it is a very underrated palette but I don’t have a lot of neutral or neutral w a pop palettes!
I think the Becca Volcano Goddess palette is STUNNING! Such gorgeous shades and so very practical too. Love it.
It is a nice palette. I don’t have a ton of neutral practical palettes so it is a nice edition for me. And bonus there are a few topper /pops of color shades to elevate your wearable looks. So far I have been in love with the palette!
With a name like Volcano Goddess, I had to look up pictures of this palette. In some pictures, the left side looks cooler, and in others it looks warmer. What does it look like in person?
I’d say it is much more cool tone but then there are metallics that are coppery for some warmth but overall it is more cool
I was hoping you wouldn’t say that. I have a hard time resisting cool toned palettes.
Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes
Favorite look from the week: EYES — UDPP in Enigma. Ombre look using the Ace Beaute Oceanic Palette: Algae (inner 1/3 of eye, into the inner corner, and inner 1/3 of bottom lid), Fiji (center of eye & center of lower lid), and Pacific (outer 1/3 of eye, wrapping around to outer 1/3 of bottom lid). Honeybee Gardens e/s in Nirvana (brow bone). Physician’s Formula Eye Booster Lash 2-in-1 Boosting Eyeliner & Serum (winged liner on top lid). UD 24/7 Eye Pencil in Perversion (upper waterline) and Mars (lower waterline). UD Perversion Mascara. BROWS — ABH e/s in Love Letter. LIPS — Wet N Wild x Fergie Perfect Pout Lip Color in Fergie Daily. CHEEKS — MAC Powder Blush in Sugar or Syrup. FACE — E.l.f. Hydrating Face Primer; Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick in Alabaster; RCMA No Color Powder; Sephora Collection Tranquil (contour); e.l.f. Blush in Gotta Glow (as HL); Apocalyptic Beauty Badass Setting Spray.
Your most used product this week: Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in Fenty Glow/Universal, Physician’s Formula Eye Booster Lash 2-in-1 Boosting Eyeliner & Serum, and my usual dailies.
Any beauty discoveries: Volition Strawberry-C Serum. Holy moly, it actually makes a difference on my skin, and it isn’t irritating. I love how soft it makes my cheeks feel (they’re still doing the dry yet oily thing), and it absorbs into the skin very quickly.
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Favourite look from the week: Using the Stila in the Garden palette, I used the Honey shade on the lid, with the Sage on the lower lid and Moss in the crease. Paired it with Colour Pop’s Foolish lipstick.
Your most used product this week: All my staples plus the Stila in the Garden palette
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): Next week I am going to be using the Tarantino’s Lovely Jewel quint, plus dipping into Naked 1 for extra neutrals.
I actually only wore makeup one day this week and then it wasn’t a full face. I just did my basic skin base products, mascara and lipstick. Didn’t even use a one and done shade on the lids. I have been doing nothing but working around the house in preparation for going to Boise on Sunday and didn’t seem worth it to do a full face but I wanted to make sure I put sunscreen on so I added a BB cream over it. I am still using the Boscia BB and not exactly trying to use it up but if I did it would be okay. It is a little to warm toned for me and currently I am preferring something a little more neutral. For my lips I just smeared on MAC Whirl. It is either that or Twig for when I just want to add a little colour to my lips.
Most used products: My skin care and my base products. I have been using either the Guerlain L’ Essential foundation in shade 01N or the Armani Luminous Silk. I am debating picking up either the La Mer cushion or the Surratt foundation that Michele Wang used earlier this week. My skin has just been looking dull and lacklustre and I think it is the sunscreen which I am replacing when I get to Boise. I am hoping having something less drying will pull my skin out of the doldrums.
New beauty finds: Nothing this week but I am waiting for my MAC Wonder collection products to come in. I am really excited about the Natural Born Leader Lipstick. I am hoping it looks as good on me as I have seen it look on others
