ColourPop Daytrip & Chi Chi Lippie Stix Reviews & Swatches
Daytrip
ColourPop Daytrip Lippie Stix ($6.00 for 0.0352 oz.) is a rich, deep pink-coral with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. The pigmentation was opaque in one pass, but the texture had a tendency to pull away from my lip lines and was a little streaky along the edges. The consistency was lightly creamy with moderate slip, so it didn’t tug on my lips during application, but felt a touch clingy compared to other shades in the range. It wore well for six hours, left a stain behind, and was neither drying nor hydrating on me.
The lipstick did break along the line shown in the first photo upon first use, as a FYI.

Formula Overview
$7.00/0.0352 oz. - $198.86 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "full coverage" with a "long-wearing, ultra comfortable" feel. Because there are quite a few finishes in the range, some of the results depend more on the finish.
The matte finish tends to be thinner, drier, and firmer in the tube, and they can, occasionally, tug on my lips noticeably during application, but usually have good pigmentation and long wear; they range from non-drying to somewhat drying.
The Creme finish has a creamier, more emollient quality to it that has excellent pigmentation, comfortable wear, and good wear time (four to six hours); it tends to be a little hydrating but occasionally suffers from issues where product gathers in lip lines or they don't go on as evenly as they could. There's a soft, sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

Chi Chi
ColourPop Chi Chi Lippie Stix ($6.00 for 0.0352 oz.) is a bright, medium orange with warm, red undertones and a cream finish. It had a smooth, creamy consistency that felt lightweight but wasn’t thin, so it was comfortable to apply and to wear. The lipstick had opaque color payoff in one layer, which adhered evenly to my lips and didn’t streak along the edges. I noticed a tiny amount of product gathered in my deeper lip lines, but the vibrancy and light shine of the finish made it hard to detect in person, just in the close-up photos. It stayed on well for five hours and was lightly hydrating over time.

Since my daughter’s beloved hamster was named Chi Chi, I am so tempted to get us each one of those!
True fact: My ex named the hammie that, not me or my daughter!
The melting season has hit. Your Daytrip and my MAC Lip In Sepia each took a hit. Thankfully, my LIS didn’t disolve, but it was totally glossy, which is nuts considering it’s a matte!
I’m loving Day Trip. Bright corals are life.
Stunning shades and great value, I am really liking these orangey based lip shades.
Very pretty shades, just not for my skin tone. I envy those who can pull off bold, bright coral and orange shades. They’re so happy and summery. Unfortunately, most of them look awful on me.
