Birthday Suit
Too Faced Birthday Suit Intense Color Coconut Butter Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a soft, medium pink with strong, warm undertones and a lightly glossy, cream finish. The pigmentation was rich in coverage with a smooth, fluid stroke. It had a lightweight, creamy, and moderately emollient texture that was easy to glide across my lips without tugging on them, but it did feel a bit wetter for the first couple of hours of wear. The color lasted well for four and a half hours and was lightly moisturizing.

Formula Overview
$22.00/0.12 oz. - $183.33 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "highly pigmented" with a "balmy, hydrating texture" that has "8 hour long-wearing color." The range is quite pigmented with a smooth, lightly balm-like consistencies--creamy enough to glide on easily but not so soft that it felt too creamy or melted on (denser than the brand's La Cremes). The majority of the shades applied evenly on my lips and lasted between four and six hours but none made it to eight. They were lightly hydrating overall. They were supposed to have a coconut scent, but I could barely detect anything; there was slight creaminess but it was very nondescript to me.
It has very similar packaging to MAC's Liptensity range, and now that both brands are under the Estee Lauder umbrella, a comparison of ingredients shows that they have similar bases, but some ingredients are out of order (but there) but Too Faced's formula has the inclusion of coconut butter/oil and is vegan (at least some of MAC's shades include carmine). To me, Too Faced took MAC's formula and made tweaks based on what they preferred in it (or not in it), but they're definitely similar with respect to how they look at the end of the day. I applied the two side-by-side (one on each half of my lips), and MAC's Liptensity formula is tackier with a bit more cling whereas Too Faced's Intense Color formula has more slip and seems lighter-weight. I definitely noticed that I was wearing lipstick less with Too Faced's formula. That being said, that lack of tackiness is what I attribute to shorter wear time. I don't think that they feel like night and day different; I can just feel subtle differences. They are the same in size, but Too Faced's is $22.00 and Liptensity is $21.00.

Strip Search
Too Faced Strip Search Intense Color Coconut Butter Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a bright, pinky-coral with warm undertones and a cream finish. The color coverage was nearly opaque in one layer, but the lightness combined with the creaminess made it prone to settling in my lip lines. I was impressed that the coverage was still quite even overall (no real streakiness), but I’d need a lip primer or liner underneath to minimize my lip lines. This shade only wore for four hours, despite the brand claiming an eight-hour wear time. The formula was lightly hydrating, though.

Send Nudes
Too Faced Send Nudes Intense Color Coconut Butter Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a light-medium peach with warm, orange undertones and a cream finish. It had good pigmentation in a single stroke, though it was just shy of full coverage. The lipstick was lightweight, creamy consistency that some noticeable slip but not enough to feel slippery while worn (more balm-like, as intended). I was surprised at how little this shade pulled into my lip lines and how evenly it applied as it was one of the lighter shades in the range. The color stayed on well for four hours and was lightly hydrating.

I think these are lovely nude shades for balms. I’m surprised how much I like these.
I’m not someone who finds these names offensive. They’re just kind of …stupid? Like strip search is not a cute name for a lipstick lol
How similar are these to the Revlon lip butters from several years ago? I’ve been searching for something similar to them and I’m hoping these might be it
Not similar at all, IMO!
I like how the package matches the shade of these balms; that’s a nice touch, I think. I think Strip Search is my favourite one 🙂
I do find these names offensive and wish that Too Faced would recognize that their products can suit a wide range of ages and there are plenty of great names out there for their products.
These are really pretty nude shades for spring or summer and they look lovely.
