Tom Ford Suspicion Eye Color Quad Review & Swatches
Suspicion (04)
Tom Ford Beauty Suspicion (04) Eye Color Quad ($88.00 for 0.35 oz.) is a newly-released quad featuring four shimmery shades in warmer hues. All four shades were pigmented, blendable, and easy to work with and lasted for seven to eight hours on me (without primer). The formula seems to be marginally improved upon, as it seemed softer and more yielding while still being that familiar gel-powder texture (denser, firmer, no fallout, and blends well on skin).

Suspicion #1
Suspicion #1 is a brighter, light-medium gold with strong, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had nearly opaque pigmentation applied with a dry brush and opaque coverage when applied with a wet brush. The consistency was soft, smooth, and blendable and seemed a bit more yielding compared to past versions of this type of formula by the brand. It wore well for eight hours on me before fading noticeably.

Suspicion #2
Suspicion #2 is a light copper with warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic sheen. It had opaque pigmentation applied dry and wet, though the wet application intensified the color so it appeared a bit darker as well as smoothed out the finish to be more metallic. The texture was smooth to the touch, firmer and denser without being difficult to pick up, and blended out nicely on my skin. It stayed on well for eight hours before showing signs of wear.

Suspicion #3
Suspicion #3 is a medium copper with warm, orange undertones and a sparkling, metallic sheen. It had good color coverage applied dry, but it was more opaque and deeper with a smoother finish when applied with a wet brush. The eyeshadow had a soft, slightly drier consistency that was still more firmly pressed in the pan (but not stiff or hard to pick up with a brush). It lasted well for seven and a half hours on me before it started to fade visibly.

Suspicion #4
Suspicion #4 is a medium-dark, taupe-brown with subtle, warm undertones and a pearly sheen. The color payoff was opaque in a single layer regardless of whether I applied it with a dry or wet brush. The consistency felt smooth and silky to the touch, though it was more firmly-pressed and denser, so there was no powderiness or fallout, while still blending out well on my skin. It wore nicely for eight hours on me before I noticed signs of fading.

Feeling pretty conflicted about this quad. The quality looks and sounds amazing. The shades are definitely in my wheelhouse. But. Did they really have to have 2 medium copper shades included? I would have rather seen a deeper red copper or a brilliant pop of cobalt metallic instead of #2.
Cobalt would have been amazing!
The sheen on the three lightest shades is incredible. Shades 2 and 3 are too similar, however beautiful they may be.
Looking forward to picking up this quad! Tried to get it on the Sephora sale but it was sold out. Can’t wait till it comes back in stock!
I gravitated to this quad first over the other two that were released at the same time. I actually love this one over Body Heat, which seems to be the popular one out of the three that were released. I also love this formula over the regular powder quads, using it both wet and dry. I also love the look you did with this quad Christine, and I can’t wait to try it!
I love, love and love this quad – every single shade is one I would use. Beautiful colours and a great rating too. I do have dupes for the colours, but not all in the one palette – which would make this a handy edition. Just stunning!
Redheads are going to stand in line around the block for this one. It is stunning.
[sigh] Lovely, creamy-looking colors; I wish the two medium ones had been just a bit more varied from each other, but this quad doesn’t suffer as much from the “too same” syndrome quite a few TF quads have.
On my wish list for an upcoming sale – i just love the shades. Could see myself reaching for this palette often and easily using every single shadow.
