Tom Ford Nude Glow Soleil Contouring Compact Review, Photos, Swatches
Nude Glow
Tom Ford Beauty Nude Glow Soleil Contouring Compact ($108.00 for 0.70 oz.) is a large, cheek trio that features two shades that are more like highlighters (or highlighting blushes) and one that’s a definite blush. I felt like the colors overlapped with past trio releases, so if one has the previous iterations, this seemed redundant (or even duped). If you’ve been waiting for the right trio to splurge on, it could be one to consider if you don’t mind a more pigmented set of shades (they’re marketed as “sheer to medium” in coverage).
Ingredients
Nude Glow
LELimited Edition. $108.00.
Nude Glow (Top)
Nude Glow (Top) is a soft pink with warm undertones and a luminous sheen. It had opaque pigmentation with a soft, smooth consistency that wasn’t too softly nor too firmly pressed in the pan, which made it easy to pickup with my brush and apply and blend out on my skin. It wore well for eight hours.

LELimited Edition.
Nude Glow (Center)
Nude Glow (Center) is a medium coral with warm, orange undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that was buildable to full coverage with a second layer. The powder felt a bit too firmly pressed in the pan, and the powder seemed thinner and wasn’t quite as blendable as the other two shades, though it wasn’t impossible to blend. It lasted for eight and a half hours on me before fading.

Nude Glow (Bottom)
Nude Glow (Bottom) is a muted, medium peachy gold with warm undertones and a luminous sheen. The powder had a smooth, blendable consistency that was easy to work with. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, though I could sheer it out by using less product or buffing it out. The highlighter stayed on well for eight hours on me.

It’s nice. Pretty shades, too. But far too dupable, plus the quality doesn’t even earn an A- overall or have a stellar performance. It’s a “nope” for me. TF has done better than this before!
I’d rather see the highlighting shades as a duo; easy pass for me.
I think that would make more sense!
The shade redundancy in this trio and in the sheer duo is so disappointing. I don’t understand why Tom Ford doesn’t vary the shade range from one collection to another. I’ll only considering the Glow Stick at this point.
I’m really surprised to see it, too… plenty of other shades to choose from…
For $108 US, you could buy a whole lot of other cheek trios and palettes (like from Nars – who always has great cheek shades) that are A or A+ and have plenty of change leftover to go and buy a lipstick to match.
Sorry Tom Ford – you have lost me here.
$134 here in Canada, which is outrageous by anyone’s standards, I would think. That this is a pretty mediocre and dupe-able product – well, Mr. Ford ain’t getting any of my loonies, I can tell you.
I was going to get this but it looked like it was pretty similar to The Afternooner palette. Glad I waited for your review and the dupes!
I wouldn’t call blush and highlighter a contouring palette, but they’re nice colors. A moot point, since I’ll never buy a TF product because of the price.
