Cool Gray is a cool-toned, gray-leaning taupe with a matte finish. The texture of this one wasn't as silky as nearly every other matte finish I've tried from LORAC; I wouldn't describe it as stiff, but it just wasn't as soft. The color payoff was decent to good, but again, that lack of silkiness to the texture seemed to make it less intensely pigmented. It still blended fairly well, though, and stayed on for eight hours before it started to degrade. theBalm #25 (P, $6.50) is grayer, lighter. Guerlain Two VIP #2 (LE) is lighter. Chanel Charming #5 (LE) is darker. MAC Fashion Fix (P, $21.00) is warmer. bareMinerals Exhale (P) is similar. bareMinerals Rowdy (P) is more shimmery. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
