Sephora Oh My Gosh Colorful Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Sephora Oh My Gosh (10) Colorful Blush
Sephora Oh My Gosh (10) Colorful Blush ($14.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “red.” It’s a bright, medium-dark orange with strong, warm red undertones and a matte finish. It’s more orange than it is red, though. ColourPop Girl Power (LE, $5.00) is lighter (95% similar). ColourPop Tonic (P, $8.00) is lighter (90% similar). Viseart Orange #3 (PiP, ) is cooler (90% similar). NARS Exhibit A (P, $30.00) is darker (90% similar). Chanel Duo N. 02 (Bottom) (LE, ) is lighter, cooler (90% similar). Urban Decay Slowburn (LE, ) is darker (90% similar). Surratt Beauty Brillante Idée (P, $32.00) is cooler (85% similar). Flesh Beauty Fever (P, $26.00) is cooler (85% similar). Fenty Beauty Daiquiri Dip (P, $20.00)(80% similar). Viseart Orange #2 (PiP, ) is lighter, more muted, warmer (80% similar). Too Faced Ginger Peach (P, $30.00) is more shimmery, lighter (80% similar). MAC All Year Red (LE, ) is darker, more muted, cooler (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
The Colorful Blush formula is supposed to be long-wearing, buildable, and have a lightweight texture. My experience with the formula–generally–has shown that they’re soft, lightly powdery at times (some are worse than others) with semi-sheer to semi-opaque color coverage that blends fairly well and lasts seven to eight hours. There is some variance between shades, but there are some gems in the range. It was intensely pigmented; I wouldn’t describe as a buildable formula at all, because even the barest touch of the brush results is very strong coverage. The consistency is lightly dusty, not too thin or too dense, and blends fairly well but could be a little easier to diffuse and even out on the skin. The color stayed on for eight and a half hours before fading.

this would be soooo bad on me but sooo great on skin tones that can carry this intensity.
I’m so glad there are more intense shades that aren’t $$!
Is it me, or both your cheeks don’t look equally orange? You right cheek looks pink to me!? is that an effect of this blush and the lighting?
Hi Nati,
I only swatch one cheek, as I usually swatch 4-8 blushes in one go. It is on the cheek that is positioned towards the camera, as always 🙂
oh, I get! I do the same thing but with my hands when swatching nail polish, is a genius idea to save sometime 😉
Woah, love the color!
Yay!
I wish it was really red!
Aw!
Not bad, but because MAC Burnt Pepper and CP Quarters are about as orange as I can go before it gives me a jaundiced, sickly look, I’m skipping this one. I’m fairly baffled as to why having a warmer skintone does that to oranges? But it warmed up a purple blush from the MAC Flamingo Park collection, making it oddly wearable last night?
Could be too much yellow? Maybe? Not sure.
That’s probably why, if the pigment they put in has a higher yellow to red ratio, perhaps then it just becomes sallow inducing.
Pretty, but I have dupes and rarely wear that shade on my cheeks. If I do, it’s with a very light hand.
Phew 🙂
Oooh, pretty! I have Colour Pop Tonic, so I’m good, but nice to see Sephora didn’t skimp on the pigment here
It’s always nice to find bargain options!
Oh, that is a fantastic orange blush! Not for my skintone, I think, but I must swatch it. Will go blush-less next time I go to Sephora! I mean, who cares if it looks horrid, it washes off 🙂
Good idea 😀 I like your attitude, Helene!
Good value but orange doe not work with .my coloring.
I totally understand!
Not for me but a good bargain!
True!
It’s so pigmented it could be an eyeshadow too! 😛
It is quite pigmented!
This is a pretty color, but I agree that it’s definitely not red. Very bold!
Definitely not!
