Sephora Midnight Blue, Peacock Blue, Sangria Contour Eye Pencils Reviews & Swatches
Midnight Blue
Sephora Midnight Blue Contour Eye Pencil ($10.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a blackened navy blue with a sparkling finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage in a single layer, which was buildable to full coverage with a second layer. The texture was fairly smooth, though I could tell it was a more glittery eyeliner, and didn’t drag or tug on my lower lash line when I tried to apply it in a fluid stroke. It stayed on well for 10 hours before fading/thinning noticeably.

Formula Overview
$10.00/0.04 oz. - $250.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "pigmented" with "one stroke" application that is "waterproof" and lasts for "12 hours." I've been a long-time fan of the formula for its variety of shades that are typically pigmented, long-wearing, comfortable to apply, and easy to work with--they aren't too tough to remove nor do they take too long (or dry down too quickly) to dry. The matte shades tend to be the best, while the shimmery shades are good but can be semi-opaque at times. The glittery/sparkly shades have the most inconsistency, usually with respect to pigmentation. They tend to wear around 10 hours on me.

Peacock Blue
Sephora Peacock Blue Contour Eye Pencil ($10.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a bright, medium blue with subtle, cool undertones and a pearly sheen. The pigmentation was nearly opaque in a single layer, and it just needed a little bit more on top in places to achieve full coverage. The eyeliner had a smooth, lightly creamy texture that glided across my lash line without tugging but did not feel too creamy or slip into my fine lines. It wore well for 10 hours on me before showing signs of wear.

Sangria
Sephora Sangria Contour Eye Pencil ($10.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a medium-dark plum with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. It had decent pigmentation, but it noticeably darkened when layered, so it actually transitioned from plum to blackened plum with two to three layers. The consistency was a touch drier, but it wasn’t stiff or overly firm and didn’t tug on my lash line when I applied it in a single stroke. It was most even when I applied one layer, as three layers made it appear a touch patchy if I looked closely (it’s eyeliner; we’re talking millimeters of thickness!). This shade stayed on well for 10 and a half hours on me.

While the 2 new blues ain’t moving me in the least, Sangria is next up! I was reminded of MJ Blacquer (Berry) right away. Especially as it appears in your eye look. Great shade for all the green and hazel eyed folks out here, I believe.
It has a similar look on!
Was thinking the same thing and that is one of my top 3 HG liners.
Whoa, that Peacock Blue pencil is amazing! All 3 are lovely but the colour of that blue one….head-turning!
It’s so vibrant!
Oh! Yes! Now seeing the swatch it is very similar to my L’Oréal if not the same color. So pretty! Need to visit Sephora soon and get that Sangria. ?
Just beautiful shades and I especially love the blues – pretty much the same ratings as Marc Jacobs. Great value too,
These looks very similar to the Loreal Infallible 703 Always Aqua maybe a bit darker cantctell from a picture but I love the Loteal ones they are suitable for mermaids lasted the entire day and then some! I only own three of those butcwould like to collect all 705 Always Purple & 700 Forever Taupe. I just use as a thick eyeliner instead of covering entire lid cause they are showy and gorgeous! Forgot where I found them on sale but would love to find the rest. Maybe they are discontinued by now? ??♀️
