MAC Dance in the Dark is a slightly cool-toned, medium-dark brown with a matte finish. Dance in the Dark is a deep, charcoal brown with cool undertones and a matte finish. It had a drier, firmer consistency that worked best for a more gradual, buildable application of color. It could have blended out more readily along the edges, and I had to be careful to buff the powder out to get even coverage. It wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably on me.
