Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde Eyeshadow Palette ($67.00 for 0.59 oz.) is a new, 18-shade palette housed in a translucent, plastic component with a large mirror and a mix of finishes. The matte shades were more powdery with coverage that ranged from medium to opaque, some built up more readily than others, and a few seemed to be drier and look that way applied.
Most of the shimmers had a more emollient quality to them--like a cream-powder hybrid--but performed and felt like powders once they were applied to the lid. Those worked better with flat, synthetic brushes, which picked up the creamier texture better and more evenly for application.
