NARS Isabella Audacious Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark plum with soft, warm undertones and a satin sheen. The lipstick had opaque color payoff in a single layer, which glided across my lips easily and delivered an even application of product. The texture was creamy, smooth, and lightweight, despite having a denser/slightly thicker feel. It wore well for five and a half hours and felt lightly hydrating over time.

The formula is supposed to have "one-stroke, full-coverage" pigmentation with a "soft matte finish" that is "long-lasting" and "hydrating." The formula is best characterized by its texture: creamy, smooth, and slightly denser/thicker on (but not heavy) compared to the typical lipstick formula. Most of the shades are opaque, while "weak" shades are more semi-opaque. The majority of the colors I've tested have applied evenly and smoothly with good glide and feel comfortable on my lips. They tend to last between four and six hours and was lightly hydrating to non-drying. There was no noticeable scent or taste.

NARS Margot Audacious Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a bright, poppy red with warm orange undertones and a satin sheen. It was intensely pigmented with a smooth, creamy consistency that was more medium in thickness but still felt lightweight and comfortable to wear. I really enjoyed how it was more smoothing of my lip lines/lip texture, which gave it an even smoother appearance on my lips. This shade stayed on well for six hours and was lightly moisturizing while worn.

Isabella is GORGEOUS! And I don’t have a shade like it. But I am going to pass it up because I need to use the lipsticks I already own. But it’s tempting…
Isabella looks so interesting and unique… but it’s definitely a color I need to try on myself, some colors look amazing on others and in swatches, but look awful against my complexion.
I might end-up actually looking more into MAC Viva Glam III (a dupe), since I like more a true satin finish, without sheen. But to me MAC Viva Glam III has a little more brown, while Isabella is slightly more purple… this can go on me either better or worse. 😆
LOL, it looks like someone took a bite out of that bullet.
It is so sad when a lipstick bullet gets a gouge like that. There is something so aesthetically pleasing about seeing that pristine bullet when you take the lid off. I think that was part of the joy of the Pat McGrath lipsticks as they had that really matte, velvet type of finish and it just looked so beautiful. Aesthetics aside, the shades are beautiful and I could see myself wearing both of them. I haven’t purchased a lipstick from the Audacious line up in quite a long time and may have to check them out again. The ones that I have do seem to hold up well. None have gone bad.
Margot is literally FIRE! Whew! That’s a hot tone of red, and I love it. I do have Lady Danger, though…so I’m wondering if I can truly justify getting this one, too. Very different finishes, though. So maybe?
Poor Isabella got the most fearsome of outcomes that lipsticks being delivered/shipped in this climate get. ?Beautiful worn, though!
Both very appealing — Isabella especially so. I’m not getting it, but I own an eyeshadow called Isabella that’s a strong plummy color, and tit would be a kick to wear them together. 🙂
