The formula is supposed to have "one-stroke, full-coverage" pigmentation with a "soft matte finish" that is "long-lasting" and "hydrating." The formula is best characterized by its texture: creamy, smooth, and slightly denser/thicker on (but not heavy) compared to the typical lipstick formula. Most of the shades are opaque, while "weak" shades are more semi-opaque. The majority of the colors I've tested have applied evenly and smoothly with good glide and feel comfortable on my lips. They tend to last between four and six hours and was lightly hydrating to non-drying. There was no noticeable scent or taste.
The average rating based on all reviewed shade(s) in this formula is shown below.
The innovative, pigment-rich formula delivers an intense, full-coverage finish in a single stroke, while nutrient rich ingredients are known to smooth, moisturize and volumize. The 40-shade collection features a full range of provocative hues from neutral nudes to striking reds and bold pinks.

I love this shade!! This is my favourite shade out of ALL my Nars Audacious lipsticks. I have Anna, Apoline, Dominique, Sandra, and Jane. It looks very very orange here but for some reason, it just looks like a very wearable, slightly warm nude on me. I would say this is just slightly brighter than the MAC Spice lip liner which I often pair this with. I would say this would work on warm skin tones, particularly those between MAC NC 20 to 25. My sister wears an NW30 (I think) and it was just dull and orangey on her. Compared to Apoline, and Jane (my two light shades), this one lasts the longests. This goes on 6 hours on me without retouching unless I eat (and I love eating oily food so boo). (P.S. Sorry for the multiple quick reviews before this post. Browser was playing silly buggers)

I am obsessed with red lipstick and don't really wear much else. I happened to be in NYC and walked into the NARS flagship store and perused their items. My mom prefers me wearing pinks as opposed to reds so she asked one of the employees for a recommendation. It turned out to be Michiyo (also my username)! When I saw this is my favorite non-red lipstick, I am not exaggerating. It wears incredibly well and stayed on for hours during a hot Manhattan day and still looked flawless. I feel that despite how bright it is, it is very flattering and I get so many compliments when I wear it. I also LOVE the magnetic cap!

I love the audacious formula, but Juliette doesn't seem to be quite as creamy and pigmented as its sister shades, and tends to stick to any dry areas. I've also noticed the tiniest bit of sparkle as i'm taking it off, though it still appears matte on the lips. Still, I am comparing it to my holy grail lip product. It is overall a beautiful bright shade that pretties up any look. I would absolutely recommend it to anybody.

This is my perfect MLBB (my lips but better) shade! I'm light to light-medium, with yellow undertones but my lips are naturally quite pink. The muted medium rosy colour is opaque so you need very little product. Incredibly creamy but not slippy. It's comfortable to wear, and doesn't wear off patchy. I'm so pleased with this lipstick & I'm a lip chap kind of girl! Thank goodness these are permanent! Heavy price tag, but if you get a shade you love you'll be hooked.
