Marc Jacobs Pink Steam, Pink Flamingo, Hot Hot Hot Enamored Lip Lacquers Reviews & Swatches
Pink Steam (322)
Marc Jacobs Beauty Pink Steam (322) Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer ($29.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a medium lavender with subtle, warmer undertones and cooler blue and lavender pearl. It had a smooth, lightweight consistency that had a touch of tackiness while worn but was very comfortable and easy to wear as it didn’t feel overly thick.
It had semi-opaque coverage, which applied evenly across my lips and smoothed out a lot of my lip lines. The color stayed on nicely for five hours and felt moisturizing while worn.

Formula Overview

It is supposed to have "maximum color and brilliance" and "shine like 30 coats of lacquer." The formula has a mint scent but not much flavor from what I could detect. While the brand's general description is "maximum color," they seem to modify that with individual shade descriptions as several shades are specifically described as "opaque" and a few are noted as "sheer" with the remainder having no specific coverage descriptor (as of April/May 2020).
This seems to suggest that the rest are neither sheer nor opaque but somewhere in-between--I would lean toward "semi-opaque" to be closer to "maximum color," though I really think that's quite confusing to the customer. It would make more sense to simply describe it as a range of sheer to opaque shades or that they're medium coverage (as a whole).
The coverage ranged from semi-sheer to opaque with a fair amount of shades between medium and semi-opaque payoff in a single layer, and they do have a very high-shine finish that makes my lips look more voluminous.
The consistency was smooth, like a creamy gel as it was a bit thicker (without being heavy or tacky), and very easy to spread across my lips. It was comfortable to wear and moisturizing over time. Some shades smoothed out my lip lines, though it wasn't consistent throughout the range as a few settled into them (usually paler, milkier shades).

Pink Flamingo (326)
Marc Jacobs Beauty Pink Flamingo (326) Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer ($29.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a light-medium pink with moderate, warm yellow undertones and a jelly-like, cream finish. It had a high-shine finish with semi-sheer color coverage. It didn’t emphasize my lip lines as much as it could have, though it could have applied more evenly. I felt like it performed better than most milkier pink glosses, but there was still room for improvement.
The texture was medium in thickness, lightly tacky, and smooth, which made it comfortable to apply and easy to spread across my lips. It lasted well for four hours and felt hydrating over time.

Hot Hot Hot (332)
Marc Jacobs Beauty Hot Hot Hot (332) Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer ($29.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a brighter, medium-dark raspberry pink with subtle, cool undertones and a glossy, cream finish. It had medium coverage, which seemed a little shy of marketing; the brand has a few shades described as “sheer” and several described as “opaque” while others have no indication (presumably more “as marketed”).
The gloss had a smooth, lightweight consistency that felt more medium in thickness with light tackiness (not enough to feel goopy but enabled it to have better longevity). There was a touch of product visible in my deeper lip lines, and the gloss could have applied more evenly. It wore well for five hours and felt moisturizing while worn.

I love Hot Hot Hot and Pink Steam, but have their corresponding dupes in MAC Cherry Mochi and CP Ponyland (one I totally forgot to add to my Vanity till now!). Since I enjoy using the 2 dupes that I have, these MJ’s will get a pass from me.
Pink steam is my kinda shade, but lip products are not on the table right now. I picked up a few products from Wayne Goss’ line and they are lovely quality and all, but I’m like WHY?
I am not a purple person but bc of the transparency of steam pink, I love that. The other two colors are good too.
