MAC x PatrickStarrr Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches

MamaStarrr
MAC MamaStarrr Lipstick ($17.50 for 0.10 oz.) is a medium-dark, rosy brown with warm undertones and a satin sheen. It was richly pigmented and had a smooth, lightly creamy texture that glided across the lips without tugging and applied even coverage in a single stroke. The lipstick was comfortable to wear, though there was a touch of color that gathered in my lip lines. It wore well for five hours and was slightly moisturizing.

MAC Lipstick comes in a variety of finishes, and the pigmentation and wear tend to be dependent on the finish. The sheer finishes, like Lustres, tend to wear for only a couple of hours and have sheer coverage (as designed) and are non-drying.
Some of the original Matte shades have a stiffer, drier formula, while newer ones have a more velvety, silicone-feel to them, and the latter are creamier, more comfortable to wear, and easier to apply, but most Matte shades are quite pigmented and long-wearing, though some are drying.
The Amplified and Satin finishes tend to have good pigmentation, lightly creamy to moderately creamy consistencies with a bit of shine, and moderate to long wear with deeper, richer shades wearing longer. The Frost and Metallic finishes have the most variance between shades with coverage ranging from semi-sheer to opaque with average wear and non-drying to slightly drying formulas. All MAC lipsticks are vanilla-scented but have no discernible taste.

Patrick Woo
MAC Patrick Woo Lipstick ($17.50 for 0.10 oz.) is a bright, medium-dark cherry red with cooler, blue undertones and a semi-matte finish. It was brighter, less matte, and not quite as blue-based as Ruby Woo. The texture was smooth, creamy without being too emollient or wet inf eel, but it didn’t tug or drag on the lips. It applied evenly with a smidgen of color gathering in my deeper lip lines. This shade stayed on well for over six hours and left a faint stain behind. The formula felt neither drying nor hydrating.

She Betta Werrrk
MAC She Betta Werrrk Lipstick ($17.50 for 0.10 oz.) is a medium pink with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had rich color coverage in a single layer that applied evenly and smoothly across the lips without tugging. The consistency felt more velvety, a little thicker, but it was comfortable to wear and wasn’t too prone to settling into my lip lines (definitely wasn’t noticeable from a normal viewing distance). It wore well for four and a half hours and was slightly hydrating.

Patrick Woo is a beautiful red, a relation to Ruby Woo in shade?
I have honestly never purchased a MAC product before but I absolutely love Patrick Starrr so I’ve had my eyes on this collection! I believe I am going to purchase the MAMASTARRR lipstick!
Very pretty! Patrick Woo is gorgeous.
MamaStarrr is calling my name!
Mamastarrr and Patrick Woo are both delightful shades! I really love them both. Of course, I do have an 85% dupe for Mamastarrr, and that is, or *was*, my leaning.
As for She Betta Werrrk, just no, not on my complexion!
MamaStarrr is really pretty, I love it with the eye look you’re wearing too!
I’ll be picking that up for my sister, and Patrick Woo up for a friend.
I don’t like buying MAC as they aren’t CF but damn, Patrick Woo might be a must have. It’s the perfect blend of pink and blue undertone for me!
Hi Christine, is patrick woo thesame or similar to Riri woo (from the mac x Rihana collection a few years ago)?
Yes, they’re all similar – cool reds.
