2N
MAC 2N Lipstick ($17.50 for 0.10 oz.) is a pale, pinky beige with a soft sheen. It had medium, buildable coverage with a lightly creamy texture that had a bit of slip, which did result in visible streakiness along the edges and some color that gathered in my lip lines. This shade lasted for two and a half hours and was non-drying.

MAC Lipstick comes in a variety of finishes, and the pigmentation and wear tend to be dependent on the finish. The sheer finishes, like Lustres, tend to wear for only a couple of hours and have sheer coverage (as designed) and are non-drying.
Some of the original Matte shades have a stiffer, drier formula, while newer ones have a more velvety, silicone-feel to them, and the latter are creamier, more comfortable to wear, and easier to apply, but most Matte shades are quite pigmented and long-wearing, though some are drying.
The Amplified and Satin finishes tend to have good pigmentation, lightly creamy to moderately creamy consistencies with a bit of shine, and moderate to long wear with deeper, richer shades wearing longer. The Frost and Metallic finishes have the most variance between shades with coverage ranging from semi-sheer to opaque with average wear and non-drying to slightly drying formulas. All MAC lipsticks are vanilla-scented but have no discernible taste.

A Girl's Got Needs
LELimited Edition. $19.00.
MAC A Girl’s Got Needs Lipstick ($17.50 for 0.10 oz.) is a muted, medium brown with warm, yellow undertones and a matte finish. It had great pigmentation in a single layer, but the slightly denser, creamier quality of the texture resulted in the color splitting along my lip lines more noticeably. With a primer or lip liner underneath to help fill in the lines, I think it wouldn’t be as noticeable. On me, the lipstick wore well for four and a half hours and was non-drying.

Age/Sex/Location
MAC Age/Sex/Location Lipstick ($17.50 for 0.10 oz.) is a muted, medium rosy brown with neutral-to-warm undertones and a mostly matte finish. It had rich color payoff in a single stroke paired with a lightweight, velvety texture–creamy enough to glide on but not yield a lot of shine. The color stayed on well for four and a half hours but pulled into my lip lines within two hours of wear. The formula was neither drying nor hydrating on me.

Age/ Sex/ Location was one of the ones I was seriously considering getting. And it seems to be a fairly good one at a B+. It was a tie between this and Among The Fireflies, which won out in the end.
The other 2 weren’t on my radar, really. They still aren’t, for me personally, but I could see A Girl’s Got Needs working very nicely on others! I still find that name too cringe-worthy, so I’m getting ABH Honey instead.
The colors aren’t for me!
Nope – the shades are just still not doing it for me at all. And I hate the last name…..
I was so excited for this collection that I ordered before the !5% off started! I am very fair with auburn hair and hazel green/brown eyes. Brown lipsticks look great on me, but it seems that it is the peachy browns not the yellow browns that are the keepers. A girl’s got needs looked like a peachy brown on your preview swatches, but it is very yellow brown, and the very matte texture exaggerates that. Derriere, which looked amazing on you, was way, way too dark and red for me, again exaggerated by the very flat appearance. I also got the mid range one, I think it was called Easy Babe, less yellow, but equally dead. So these were loosers for me. The Beaux lipgloss is perfect, but it is gloss, in a lipstick this color would be amazing. I placed a re-order and received a color that I’ve wanted for a long time, Cherish, and another one from the NIcki Minoj collection, The Right Note. The Right Note is not matte, it is creamsheen, so it is not as dull. But is is a very light neutral brown color, I tried it with Hover lip pencil so that the warm red brown tones would mix in , and it was still a litlle dull. I’ll have to try it with full face makeup to decide its fate. Cherish is also a very light but more peachy brown. I would have loved it if it had more color to it and a bit more peach. With the Hover pencil, it did give a good ombre look, but in this case, the satin finish made it really sheer. Jubilee is another of my favorite MAC lipsticks that I have to mix with Hover to get the color I want. I wish they would make some of these nude colors less sheer, that way they have a chance of showing up on their own. I’ll have to check out the dupe list to try and find my perfect peachy browns without so much trial and error! Touch is a great MAC brown color if you prefer the pinky, plummy browns, which is where I think that the color Amoungst the Fireflies will land.
I like Among the Fireflies and the horribly named Age/Sex/Location, but I have too many dupes of both of those shades…and I won’t support awful names like Age/Sex/Location.
