MAC x Min Liu Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Dynasty Red
MAC Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a bright, medium red with neutral-to-warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage that covered the lips evenly. The texture was denser but velvety, so the lipstick glided across the lips with ease and never dragged despite having a more matte finish. The color was still going strong after six hours of wear, and it only started to feel a bit drying after five hours of wear.

MAC Lipstick comes in a variety of finishes, and the pigmentation and wear tend to be dependent on the finish. The sheer finishes, like Lustres, tend to wear for only a couple of hours and have sheer coverage (as designed) and are non-drying.
Some of the original Matte shades have a stiffer, drier formula, while newer ones have a more velvety, silicone-feel to them, and the latter are creamier, more comfortable to wear, and easier to apply, but most Matte shades are quite pigmented and long-wearing, though some are drying.
The Amplified and Satin finishes tend to have good pigmentation, lightly creamy to moderately creamy consistencies with a bit of shine, and moderate to long wear with deeper, richer shades wearing longer. The Frost and Metallic finishes have the most variance between shades with coverage ranging from semi-sheer to opaque with average wear and non-drying to slightly drying formulas. All MAC lipsticks are vanilla-scented but have no discernible taste.

LELimited Edition. $19.00.
Peach Blossom Pink
MAC Peach Blossom Pink Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a bright, medium pink with cool, blue undertones and a satin finish. It had very nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which applied evenly and smoothly across the lips. The consistency was lightweight, creamy enough not to drag, but it stayed in place throughout the day. This shade wore well for five hours and left a slight stain behind, though it was neither drying nor hydrating.

Super dupable!!! But if one doesn’t have dupes, these are very velvety and lux looking! As for me,I’ve got Pink Pigeon for Peach Blossom Pink with UD 714 Liquid Vice on my “to get” list, so I’m good.
True — soo dupable!
Both are really pretty, and right up my alley. I have dupes though, so I’ll be good and pass, no matter how cute those tassels are.
Thank goodness for dupes! 🙂
I love Peach Blossom!
Woohoo!
I love the finish of Dynasty Red! It goes so well with your whole look Christine!! I’m liking these!
Thank you, Shannon!!
The whole design is elegant, love the names!
Happy to hear it!
Great quality! I’m so happy that they haven’t skimped on the quality despite this being a limited edition collection!
They were nice!
Love the packaging! Nice to see that they rated well. Neither are really my kind of colours, but they do look great on you, Christine!
The packaging is amazing, but I have dupes for days. Le sigh. I wish they’d gone with more unique shades! (Though it’s almost like what HASNT been done at this point right?)
The red is pretty but I have a dupe! HURRAY!
Both are really lovely. It’s good that the quality is there, they seem excellent to be honest.
I don’t have any of the dupes listed, but I think I have at least one among my reds. I might not have one for Peach Blossom Pink, but i prefere darker pinks.
Your look on the photos is gorgeous. you have some blending skills!
These look amazing! But I thought they were supposed to be out yesterday? Am I the only one who they aren’t showing up online for or did I get the launch date wrong?
When MAC has multiple 95% match dupes of every color in a new MAC collection, that’s a sign that they need to slow down. At least they did interesting packaging for this one, but it’s still an easy pass.
The Dynasty Red shade is just divine!
