All I Want

MAC All I Want Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a soft, light-medium champagne gold with a lightly frosted sheen. It had medium coverage that was somewhat buildable but never made it to fully opaque on the lips. The texture was smooth, didn’t feel gritty from the shimmer, and applied evenly for the most part. It wore well for four hours and was neither drying nor hydrating on me. This is a repromote.

MAC Lipstick comes in a variety of finishes, and the pigmentation and wear tend to be dependent on the finish. The sheer finishes, like Lustres, tend to wear for only a couple of hours and have sheer coverage (as designed) and are non-drying.

Some of the original Matte shades have a stiffer, drier formula, while newer ones have a more velvety, silicone-feel to them, and the latter are creamier, more comfortable to wear, and easier to apply, but most Matte shades are quite pigmented and long-wearing, though some are drying.

The Amplified and Satin finishes tend to have good pigmentation, lightly creamy to moderately creamy consistencies with a bit of shine, and moderate to long wear with deeper, richer shades wearing longer. The Frost and Metallic finishes have the most variance between shades with coverage ranging from semi-sheer to opaque with average wear and non-drying to slightly drying formulas. All MAC lipsticks are vanilla-scented but have no discernible taste.

Bit of Bubbly

MAC Bit of Bubbly Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a light peach with a hint of cooler beige and a natural finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage that went on fairly evenly, though there was a bit of streaking and some color pulled into lip lines. The lipstick’s consistency was thin, lightly clingy, and felt stiff until it warmed up when applied directly from the tube. This shade wore well for three hours and was a bit drying.

Dahhlinggg!

MAC Dahhlinggg! Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a light-medium pinky-peach with warmer undertones and a natural finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable coverage with a thin, slightly firmer texture that warmed up and melted as I applied it. It had fairly even coverage, though some of the color slipped into my lip lines. This shade lasted for three and a half hours and was a touch drying.

MCizzle

MAC MCizzle Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a light-medium rosy peach with subtle, warm undertones and a natural finish. It looked pinker on my lips, as it was semi-opaque, so my natural lip color muted some of the warmth of the color. The texture was lightweight, a little more emollient than the other shades in the collection, and spread more readily across the lips and did not need to warm up. The color lasted for three and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating while worn.

So Dramatique

MAC So Dramatique Pro Longwear Lip Pencil ($22.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark brown with reddish undertones and a satin sheen. It seemed to appear a bit darker and plummier applied to lips, which I imagine was partially the result of it being only semi-opaque and dry enough that it tugged/dragged and made my lips appear pinker (from the tugging!) naturally. It worked well for lining the edges of the lips, but it wasn’t cooperative for filling in the lips. When I wore it, the color lasted for six hours but was drying.

I love the butterfly embossing on the lipsticks, but the colors are too nude or frosty for me, very Mariah though. I like the color of the lip liner, think it’s a very versatile color.

Racquel Avatar

Thanks for sharing, Christine. I apprectiate your honesty .None of these will work for me. I saw someone swatch these on instagram and built the product and looked completly different. I will proably try I get so occ even though you dont have it pictured here.

Pami Avatar

All I Want is my pick from this collection. I love the butterfly on the bullet and the glitzy packaging. I think it will be a nice topcoat. Dahhlinggg! isn’t too bad for a nude, but I can live without it. I’m surprised at how similar the three lipsticks are in tone. I would have expected a better range.

Nicole Avatar

I love All I want . But, I usually hate frosted lipsticks on me. So, I may wait to see if I can try that on. Otherwise, I’ll try to get the lip liner here. Others are too light for me.

Emily Avatar

Love everything about these except for the colors! All I Want seems like it could be tolerable, but not $20 tolerable. All I want is a lipstick in a glitter bullet with a butterfly imprinted on the stick that is in a color that would not look ridiculous on me!

Sandy Avatar

Does anybody know what time mac releases the collection for purchase on December 8th? I’ve looked online and chatted with the Mac online consultant and they couldn’t give me a time. Thank you!!

Natali Carrera Avatar

I may be in the minority this time, but I like both Dahhhling and McIzzle. My natural lipshade alters pinky-nudes to turn more brown-orange than I want, so I hope they would work on me IRL, but I do like them on you, and I’m not going to lie, I’m swooning over the packaging, too. ?

Katelyn Avatar

I love nudes and cannot wait to get my hands on these! They are so my type!! Thank you for the swatches!! I will be 1st in line at MAC for this collection lol

Quinctia Avatar

All I Want is probably the only color I’d wear, and I skipped Live Long and Prosper already because I didn’t think I’d wear it that much.

The packaging on these is spectacular, though! I want a lipstick with a glittery case…just not these. :/
