MAC Touch the Earth Mineralize Rich Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “light wood brown.” It’s a muted, light-medium beige-brown with warm, yellow undertones and a soft shine. MAC Styled in Sepia (LE, $16.00) is darker, more matte. Maybelline Truffle Tease (930) (P, $7.49) is slightly darker, less yellow. MAC Shitaki (LE, $16.00) is darker. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

This shade will launch on December 26th in-stores and pop-up a bit earlier on MAC’s website on the 23rd. There are four other shades in the collection (Be Fabulous, Luxe Natural, Dreaminess, and Style Surge), which are all are repromotes. The formula is supposed to feel “lightweight, non-sticky” with “maximum moisturizer and “long-lasting colour in a single stroke” (though the coverage is described as “buildable”). It was mostly opaque with a thin, creamy consistency that glided onto lips easily. For the most part, it went on evenly, but it can streak a little bit and will leave “lines” if you press your lips together. It was nicely hydrating, though, while it wore well for three and a half hours on me.

Awww!!! I was so very much hoping that this would be similar to Crème Cerise but it’s not even close! 🙁 It looks fantastic on you, Christine. I wonder how it is compared to Fresh Brew? If it’s anywhere near or similar to it, I might be tempted to try it out.
