MAC Snuggle Up Huggable Glass
MAC Snuggle Up Huggable Glass ($20.00 for 0.08 fl. oz.) is described as a “bright pinky lilac.” It’s a medium, fuchsia-tinted purple with subtle, warm cool undertones and a cream finish. It had semi-sheer to semi-opaque pigmentation with a smooth consistency. Applied, it was uneven and streaky. I didn’t notice the gloss in lip lines too much, but it did become more noticeable as the day went on. This shade lasted for four and a half hours on me. Make Up For Ever 500 Lilac (P, $19.00) is lighter, brighter, cooler (90% similar). Cle de Peau Fast Lane (15) (P, $48.00) is brighter, warmer (90% similar). MAC Dilly Dazzle (P, $10.00) is darker (90% similar). Urban Decay Bittersweet (DC, $26.00) is darker (90% similar). Make Up For Ever 501 Purple (P, $19.00) is darker (85% similar). Anastasia Dusty Lilac (-, $16.00) is lighter, brighter (85% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Raspberry Beret (356) (PiP, $29.00) is darker (85% similar). MAC How Chic is This (LE, $20.00) is more shimmery, darker (85% similar). MAC Narcissus (LE, $20.00) is darker, more muted, warmer (85% similar). Urban Decay Jawbreaker (P, $20.00) is darker, brighter (85% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Boys Don't Cry (358) (PiP, $29.00) is darker (80% similar). Tarte Slay (P, $20.00) is darker, more muted (80% similar). Sephora Fig Jam (31) (P, $12.00) is lighter, less pigmented, warmer (80% similar). Anastasia Orchid (-, $16.00) is lighter, brighter, cooler (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
MAC Marvel-Lush Huggable Glass ($20.00 for 0.08 fl. oz.) is described as a “bubblegum pink.” It’s a light, cool-toned pink with a creamy, milky finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff with a creamy texture that was comfortable to wear over a four hour period, but the application is streaky and uneven. Some of the color emphasized and pulled into lip lines over time as well. MAC Tender (P, $22.00) is lighter (95% similar). MAC Stay Sweet (LE, $21.00) is lighter (95% similar). Sephora + Pantone Universe Sunlit Allium (LE, ) is darker, less pigmented (90% similar). MAC Going Casual (LE, $20.00) is darker (90% similar). MAC Patentpink (P, $20.00) is darker (90% similar). MAC Pure Fiction (LE, $21.00) is cooler (90% similar). NYX Merengue (P, $5.00) is darker (90% similar). Urban Decay Obsessed (DC, $19.00) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). LORAC Brunch Queen (LE, $17.00) is darker, cooler (85% similar). MAC Carousel (LE, $21.00) is darker (85% similar). Bite Beauty Two (Watercolor) (LE, ) is lighter (85% similar). MAC Love Buzz Huggable Glass ($20.00 for 0.08 fl. oz.) is described as a “fuchsia pink.” It’s a slightly muted, medium-dark fuchsia pink with cool, blue undertones and a creamy finish. This one seemed like the shiniest of the set! Unfortunately, it applied streakily, so it didn’t look the best on. It had semi-opaque pigmentation and was comfortable to wear, at least. On me, the color wore for five hours. Bite Beauty Eleven (Watercolor) (LE, ) is brighter (95% similar). MAC Constant Craving (P, $24.00) is lighter (90% similar). Make Up For Ever 207 Candy Pink (P, $19.00) is warmer (90% similar). NYX Sugar Cookie (P, $5.00) is lighter (90% similar). MAC A for Attitude (LE, $20.00) is lighter, brighter (90% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Cherry Moon (352) (P, $29.00) is brighter, cooler (90% similar). Estee Lauder Rosy Future (LE, $26.00) is brighter (90% similar). Buxom Berry Blast (PiP, $19.00) is warmer (90% similar). Urban Decay Scandal (DC, $26.00) is darker (90% similar). MAC Silly (LE, $21.00) is cooler (90% similar). Chanel Pinctada (214) (LE, $30.00) is darker, warmer (85% similar). MAC Unlimited Style (LE, $21.00) is more shimmery, lighter (85% similar). NARS Love Me Do (P, $26.00) is lighter (85% similar). ColourPop Pony Up (DC, $10.00) is lighter, more muted, less pigmented (85% similar). MAC Style Packed (LE, $21.00) is cooler (90% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
FORMULA OVERVIEW | MAC Huggable Glass ($20.00 for 0.08 fl. oz.) is supposed to be a “comfortable, creamy” formula that “wears for hours” and has “long-term hydration” with a “comfortable hug of colour.” It’s a new, limited edition formula with cream-based colors with a high-shine that tend to be semi-sheer to semi-opaque. The consistency is light-medium in weight and thickness, and it is creamy when initially applied but gets a little tackier and less emollient after a half hour. It is a moderately tacky gloss, and it holds on fairly well–three to six hours–with noticeable shine and some color still visible even after a meal. They’re slightly hydrating overall, and they have a vanilla-scent but no discernible taste. Their biggest downside is that many of the colors apply unevenly and settle into lip lines, and it’s such a huge downside, unfortunately!

Snuggle Up and Love Buzz look nice, love the finish! Guess I just really got the wrong shade, meh.
The finish on these is nice, but there are definitely some problematic shades in the range!
I think Snuggle Up looks like Benefit Lollitint (+ Lollibalm)…
Love Buzz is amazing! <3
Good call, Van!
Meh. I just don’t see how Mac can put out Vamplify and then put out these. I hope they bring the Vamplify glosses back permanent.
I wish Vamplify was permanent, too!
For $20, these shouldn’t be streaky, too bad as Snuggle Up and Love Buzz are pretty colors
They really shouldn’t be!
From what I can see, only Love Buzz looks like a standalone lip gloss. And while it is a lovely shade, I have too many similar shades. And I honestly don’t even know why, LoL!
I could definitely see Snuggle Up being a really nice topper over, say, Heroine or Men Love Mystery!
Finally, there’s one!
Love Buzz is fun, very spring-like.
Do you think you’ll try it, Erin?
Do you think these would perform well if used over a Too Faced Melted? Snuggle Up looks like it might complement Melted Violet quite nicely.
They probably will cause more slip – I think Melted might be TOO much thickness + these on top.
Hmmm… now I’m questioning the way I use the Melteds. I apply a rather thin layer and, although the pigment lasts for a few hours, my lips become really dry after about fifteen to twenty minutes. (Probably because I have a habit of rubbing my lips together…) I always have to apply a gloss over them. Maybe I just need to apply a thicker layer of the Melted. (Or stop my lip fidgeting!)
I think the Melted formula works both ways! You can go thin, since they are quite pigmented 🙂 If you go thinner, then I think it might work!
girl I LOVE your earrings!!!!!!!!!
