Rosy Cheeks

MAC Rosy Cheeks Extra Dimension Blush ($28.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a bright, medium-dark fuchsia pink with cool, fuchsia pearl. It had nearly opaque pigmentation, which was buildable to full coverage, if desired. The texture was soft, smooth, and just a smidgen dusty in the pan (but not applied); I felt like the softness made it easier to control and to grab less product, if desired, so it could be used as sheerer coverage levels without a lot of work. What was even more surprising was how blendable the color was on the cheeks–it melted and diffused as I applied it and I barely had to blend the edges after laying down the initial color. The finish was luminous but not emphasizing of my pores. The color stayed on well for ten hours before fading.

The Extra Dimension Blush formula is supposed to have “long-wearing colour with prismatic reflections” that wears for “10 hours.” The formula is typically very pigmented with a soft, smooth texture that’s firmer in the pan but not difficult to use–I had no issues grabbing color with even my softest brushes–and has no dustiness or powderiness in the pan. The blushes are usually blendable with a luminous glow on the cheeks that did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture. With MAC’s newly-added permanent shades, the wear time has ranged from eight to ten hours.

Sweets for My Sweet

MAC Sweets for My Sweet Extra Dimension Blush ($28.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a muted, medium pink with warm undertones and a luminous sheen. The blush had good color payoff that was buildable to truly opaque coverage in two layers. The consistency felt smooth and soft to the touch without being dusty or dry in the pan, but it still blended with ease on my cheeks. It applied evenly, diffused perfectly, and stayed in place for nine hours on my skin.

Sweets for my Sweet is so nice. Actually all of these blushes seem to be — I had fun trying most of them the other day. Sweets is such a dupe for a blush I already have I couldn’t justify it. But good stuff overall.

I love macs extra dimension blush formula, it looks so pretty on the skin. Can’t wait to get to a counter & check these out. They look fantastic on you.

I absolutely LOOOVE these. As Aj said, the sheen on the MAC Mineralize Blushes is one of the most desirable finishes (at least to me). I can’t wait to pick up one or two of these beauties. I am so glad they are permanent so I don’t have to go rushing out to get them.

For a long time (before the Mineralize blushes came around, so often “LE”), I was in love with their Sheertone Shimmer blushes for that nice finish. And it’s why I’ve been drawn to the Becca Luminous Blushes but I’m glad I put off purchasing those as I think I prefer these from MAC and they’re a bit less costly.

I’m super impressed by the pigmentation and sheen of the blushes. Not that I need any more blushes but I would certainly consider these new MAC blushes. Wow.
