MAC Rosy Cheeks & Sweets for My Sweet Extra Dimension Blushes Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Rosy Cheeks
MAC Rosy Cheeks Extra Dimension Blush ($28.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a bright, medium-dark fuchsia pink with cool, fuchsia pearl. It had nearly opaque pigmentation, which was buildable to full coverage, if desired. The texture was soft, smooth, and just a smidgen dusty in the pan (but not applied); I felt like the softness made it easier to control and to grab less product, if desired, so it could be used as sheerer coverage levels without a lot of work. What was even more surprising was how blendable the color was on the cheeks–it melted and diffused as I applied it and I barely had to blend the edges after laying down the initial color. The finish was luminous but not emphasizing of my pores. The color stayed on well for ten hours before fading.
The Extra Dimension Blush formula is supposed to have “long-wearing colour with prismatic reflections” that wears for “10 hours.” The formula is typically very pigmented with a soft, smooth texture that’s firmer in the pan but not difficult to use–I had no issues grabbing color with even my softest brushes–and has no dustiness or powderiness in the pan. The blushes are usually blendable with a luminous glow on the cheeks that did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture. With MAC’s newly-added permanent shades, the wear time has ranged from eight to ten hours.

Sweets for My Sweet
MAC Sweets for My Sweet Extra Dimension Blush ($28.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a muted, medium pink with warm undertones and a luminous sheen. The blush had good color payoff that was buildable to truly opaque coverage in two layers. The consistency felt smooth and soft to the touch without being dusty or dry in the pan, but it still blended with ease on my cheeks. It applied evenly, diffused perfectly, and stayed in place for nine hours on my skin.

Man I love the sheen these blushes have been giving off. I’m loving Sweets for My Sweet, I need to go swatch it first tho. Looks like a nice blush for spring!
Can’t wait for you to swatch it, Aj! 🙂
I can’t stop wearing Sweets for My Sweet! Such a beautiful shade. I might have to pick up another color in the range.
It is a stunning one!
Sweets for my Sweet is so nice. Actually all of these blushes seem to be — I had fun trying most of them the other day. Sweets is such a dupe for a blush I already have I couldn’t justify it. But good stuff overall.
They are very lovely so far!
These are so beautiful! I’m very impressed! Especially with a fuchsia that goes on as nicely as Rosy Cheeks does. ?
I agree! They’re amazing 🙂
I love macs extra dimension blush formula, it looks so pretty on the skin. Can’t wait to get to a counter & check these out. They look fantastic on you.
These seem even better than past releases! 🙂
I’m glad these are doing so well!
Me too!
I absolutely LOOOVE these. As Aj said, the sheen on the MAC Mineralize Blushes is one of the most desirable finishes (at least to me). I can’t wait to pick up one or two of these beauties. I am so glad they are permanent so I don’t have to go rushing out to get them.
I’m thrilled MAC made these permanent, too!
Same here! The sheen on MAC’s Mineralize Blushes was the main reason I have purchased quite a few of them.
For a long time (before the Mineralize blushes came around, so often “LE”), I was in love with their Sheertone Shimmer blushes for that nice finish. And it’s why I’ve been drawn to the Becca Luminous Blushes but I’m glad I put off purchasing those as I think I prefer these from MAC and they’re a bit less costly.
Wow, both are so pretty!! So glad MAC made these permanent
I’m super impressed by the pigmentation and sheen of the blushes. Not that I need any more blushes but I would certainly consider these new MAC blushes. Wow.
These look incredible! Rosy Cheeks is going on my wishlist, it looks like a pretty unique colour!
Sweets for My Sweet was the one I was most interested in and it’s great that it’s a dupe for Bella Bamba which was my favourite benefit blush
