Do you keep any beauty products with you on a regular basis?

I don’t really go anywhere, so not with me as in a makeup bag, purse, etc. I have a couple of lip balms on my desk (Jack Black and Hourglass Lip Oil).

I always have a tube of either MAC Craving or Smashbox Red Rage in a makeup bag in my purse, along with a mattifying/blotting powder and a colourless lip balm with SPF. Depending on how long a day and what I’d doing, I might also carry an eye pencil (Sephora Cappuccino) and perhaps a blush in that makeup bag as well.

That is so sweet of you to say, Pami, thank you! . I’m always switching up my look and I easily look entirely different depending on my hair and hair colour. 2019 was definitely the year of crazy hair colours. I need to back down from the frequency of attack on my hair so I decided to go blonde and let my natural do the shadow rootage and silver bits come through. I’m growing out my square bangs from my bob too. I’ve had a blunt fringe for a flong enough. The hair clip to help anchor my fringe to the side until I can grow it out to sideswept to tuck behind ears. I’ve got a wack of the Kitsche clips from Sephora to help me through bang hell.

I keep lip liner, lipstick, gloss, and chap stick in my purse as well as a travel size MUFE HD Powder and small brush. I don’t use it often, but if I wear glasses they tend to slide down my nose (even without makeup) and the powder helps remedy that. I have hand lotion in my purse and my office desk. Other than that, no, I don’t keep any other makeup products with me. Once my face and eyes are on they are on and I don’t feel a need to redo anything. I have friends who carry around full on makeup bags with powders and concealers, liners, shadows, and mascara… but I’ve never been one to do that. I like to keep my purse light!

I’m quite interested in trying next the MAC Blot Powder. It’s good only on the go, or would it work generally for setting make-up?
The only specifically blotting powder I tried was the one from Clinique, but that one mostly worked as a touch-up with the included sponge. I could barely pick anything with a brush.

You could use it to set also. But being that i have oily acne prone skin, i try to use a loose powder at home to set then pressed on the go because I’m paranoid the binders they use in powder when it’s pressed (or like waxes when it’s a stick) could clog my pores and cause acne. When I bought mine the mua @ the MAC counter told me to buy a shade darker than I am because they run light or something. At the time I was like nw25. It’s a nice product for on the go touch ups that dont cake up your face. I used it throughout the day if my June wedding.

I’m not a loose powder girl, I never got a hang of it, it’s just pressed powder for me; I’m breakout prone (but don’t have acne specifically) and pressed powder never caused me issues. I will definitely try to shade match in store, I haven’t purchased a MAC powder in a long while. Thanks for the info!

If I’m going out, I do keep my little round Bite mirror in my purse along with my blemish coverup concealer, lipstick and/or lip gloss of the day, plus a complimentary lip pencil. Sometimes, rarely actually, I’ll also throw in an inner corner eyeshadow single or mini palette just in case I get teary eyes from my allergies while out and about.

Depends on where I’m going:
*At work: I’ll just grab my lipstick for the day and I’ll also have a pack of blotting sheets for oily emergencies (I keep those in a small bag in my backpack/purse, along with hand sanitizer, a pocket mirror, tissues, things like that). Otherwise, I always have a hand cream on the desk, at work.
*In town/at events/social gatherings/etc: My lipstick for the day and a pack of blotting sheets.
*During hikes/long times outside: I’ll have an SPF lotion and lip balm to continuously re-apply.

I prefer long-wearing make-up specifically because I don’t want to touch-up during the day (except lipstick).

My NYX Butter Gloss I never go without and if I don’t have my purse, I carry one in my pocket! I also keep a finishing powder and blush in my purse and reach for them maybe 2X a month.

Wow. I wonder if anybody else assumed most people do what they do, like I did. I always have a makeup bag with a complete ‘face’ inside and figured that most other make-up wearers do similar: foundation stick, eyeliner and brow pencil, concealer & powder duo, shadow quad for eyes that I can also use as contour and highlight (shades of cream to brown), blush, couple of lipstick choices, lipliner, mascara. Most of it is for putting on during the ride into work. I rarely re-apply anything except lip products.

LATIKA ARCHULETA Avatar

I never touch up my make up but I must carry my Laneige Lip treatment and the lipstick and lip gloss that I am wearing for the day. I always carry a perfume tester or my travel size favorite

Terri Avatar

I work for a couple of ride share companies and have a hand lotion, hand sanitizer, lip oil, butter gloss & 2 small lipsticks in my console as well as a small UD setting spray.

Eileen Avatar

I always have a hand cream with SPF, a lip balm, and the lip color du jour in my purse. Other than that, I don’t carry any makeup around with me.

Alisha Avatar

I keep a couple lipsticks then if I’m wearing a specific color and not using those I throw that in too. I have a sample mascara, balm, mac studio fix, hair ties, and pills! Extra of my rx, tylenol, dramamine, immodium, tums, prilosec, band aids, nail file, nail glue, spf. Hand sanitizer, hand lotion, moist wipes, kleenex.

Yes. I always have blotting papers, pressed powder, lip balm, and my lip product(s) of the day.

My life can be pretty chaotic, and I often have to leave my house suddenly and do makeup on the go. So I also usually carry a makeup bag with a double-sided makeup mirror, mini mascara, mini face primer, mini eye primer, black pencil liner, Too Faced Sugar Cookie Palette, MAC x Jeremy Scott lip palette, concealer, a MAC lip brush, a couple double-ended eyeshadow brushes, tweezers, mini hand lotion, and rollerball fragrance.

Cathy Avatar

I always have these items in my makeup bag: Tata Harper Illuminating Eye Creme, Chanel Healthy Glow Lip Balm in “Light”, Lanolips Tinted Lip Balm in “Perfect Nude”, Fresh Sugar “Caramel” Hydrating Lip Balm – hmm, does someone fear not having enough lip balm on hand much? lol – a mini L’Occitane Amande hand cream, eye drops, and whatever lip colour I’m wearing for the day.

I keep a little kit in the car. It has UD Naked basics, a Cover Girl dupe for a Stila Magnificent Metals, a black Rimmel eyeliner, a Universal Brow pencil (I forget the brand but it’s a basic taupey shade, a blur stick, and a couple of pale pink lipsticks. That’s generally enough to touch up if I have to go somewhere after work and some of my makeup is gone. It may not recreate the look I started with, but it’s good enough to look pulled together again.

? I almost carry an overnight bag but I’ll spare everyone the entire list. It’s that bad but some of it stays in the car. I tend to have like 4 sprays… A facial mist, a little blue glass spray bottle that I fill with Florida Water, Dr. Bronner’s hand sanitizer and a big bottle of Thieves hand sanitizer. I don’t want another virus kicking my ass!

Too many lip products travel with me. These are just the feel good / no makeup type products: Tatcha Camellia Gold Spun lip balm, Perricone spf 15 lipstick in Berry or Red (it’s really a tinted lip balm), IT Cosmetics Vitality Lip Flush Stain Lipstick in Love Story AND Vitality Lip Flush Serum Gloss Stain in JNSQ. Their lip products are named ridiculously. I am ridiculous for how much I carry. ?‍♀️

Yes – I keep a tube of Embryolise Lait-Creme Concentre with me. Great for my hands, face, just about anywhere. I also have a tube of Revlon’s super lustrous gloss in Rosy Future and Chanel’s Les Beige Healthy Glow Powder in Light. I also carry the lipstick shade of the day with me.

The Chanel Healthy Glow allows me to focus on the pink/blush shade if I want to apply just that and good for an all over powder look if I run out the door without makeup.

Jen Avatar

To me lip balms are the hair tie of cosmetics so I make sure to keep one in the pocket of whatever I’m wearing. If I’m wearing lipstick that day I keep that close by, too. If I carry anything else it all depends on what I’m doing and what kind of bag I’m carrying.
