Love at First Bite

MAC Love at First Bite Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark raspberry pink with subtle, cool undertones and a natural sheen. It had nearly opaque color payoff that applied evenly and smoothly across the lips. The lipstick had moderate slip but had a very light tackiness that helped it adhere nicely to the lips–not clingy but not slippery–and wear for almost six hours. The formula felt lightly hydrating while worn.

MAC Lipstick comes in a variety of finishes, and the pigmentation and wear tend to be dependent on the finish. The sheer finishes, like Lustres, tend to wear for only a couple of hours and have sheer coverage (as designed) and are non-drying.

Some of the original Matte shades have a stiffer, drier formula, while newer ones have a more velvety, silicone-feel to them, and the latter are creamier, more comfortable to wear, and easier to apply, but most Matte shades are quite pigmented and long-wearing, though some are drying.

The Amplified and Satin finishes tend to have good pigmentation, lightly creamy to moderately creamy consistencies with a bit of shine, and moderate to long wear with deeper, richer shades wearing longer. The Frost and Metallic finishes have the most variance between shades with coverage ranging from semi-sheer to opaque with average wear and non-drying to slightly drying formulas. All MAC lipsticks are vanilla-scented but have no discernible taste.

Si, Si, Me!

MAC Si, Si, Me! Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a vibrant, medium-dark magenta purple with warm, pink undertones and a satin finish. It had good color coverage, though it was not fully opaque–there was a hint of my lip freckle that peeked through. The consistency was smooth, creamy but not wet, and comfortable to apply and to wear. It wore well for over six hours and still was mostly intact even after a meal, and the formula felt non-drying. to me.

Calm Heat

MAC Calm Heat Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a light-medium, pinky beige with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had good pigmentation that covered the lips evenly. The consistency was smooth, creamy enough not to tug on the lips, but it didn’t feel overly emollient and the color did not appear streaky on the lips. However, there was a bit of color that sunk into some of my lip lines. This shade lasted for four and a half hours on my lips and felt non-drying.

Shy Girl

MAC Shy Girl Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a soft, light-medium peach with fine gold and pink pearl. It had semi-opaque pigmentation, which applied fairly evenly across the lips but the more emollient quality of the texture made it prone to sinking into lip lines. The shinier finish helped mask that when viewed at a normal distance, so it was still easily worn on its own but a lip primer or lip liner might help improve the overall finish. The color wore well for four hours and was very lightly hydrating to me. This shade is part of the permanent range.

Looks like I will be grabbing Si Si Me! Beautiful color and packaging . Overall, looks like MAC did a great job with this collection

Okeee…so far, I now have the Pearl mate, 2 eyeshadow palettes and TWO lipsticks on my haulage list! Haha! ? I am sooo dead!
I actually love how beautifully all 4 apply and look, but Calm Heat would make me look like Tyrone Biggums, and I have Saucy Little Darling for Love At First Bite.
BUT; I am in love with Si, Si, Me! And *how* exactly is it that i have never tried Shy Girl on??? I’ve tried on many of its dupes, but NOT Shy Girl! And I love how it looks compared to my tube of Ravishing! ?

What finish are the lipsticks? Is Si Si Me a matte or satin, amplified etc.? Sorry I don’t see it listed anywhere and I’m curious

I LOVE Si Si Me!!! At first, I didn’t think there was a dupe in my stash, but now wondering if it favors Taraji Viva Glam. Any idea?

Just grabbed Love at First Bite. I thought I didn’t have a similar shade but I realised when I got home, I do! It’s a bit similar to NYX soft matte lip cream in antwerp once it dries down. This is just slightly cooler and and ever so slightly darker. However, the length of wear and comfort I get from Love at First Bite is much better (as expected from the Amplified formula). I loved NYX Antwerp’s color but I kept on having to retouch every 3.5 hours so I used it once and placed it at the back of my lipstick shelf. Regret not picking Si, Si Me up too though. Hope they’ll still have it in stock next week! I think this is a good collection though.
