Giorgio Armani Diva & Lucky Red Rouge d'Armani Matte Lip Colors Reviews & Swatches
Diva (200)
Giorgio Armani Diva (200) Rouge d’Armani Matte Lip Color ($38.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a deep, reddish-brown with subtle, warm undertones and faint golden pearl strewn throughout. I’m not sure why this particular shade wasn’t called out as having shimmer, as the other three I tried were much more matte. It had a velvety, dense consistency that seemed thicker as I applied but felt lightweight and comfortable on my lips. The pigmentation was opaque in a single layer and stayed on well for seven hours on me with a non-drying feel.

Formula Overview
$38.00/0.14 oz. - $271.43 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "intensely pigmented" with a "long lasting matte" finish ("8-hour wear") and is "non-drying." It had a denser consistency that seemed thicker but wasn't heavy, and there was just enough slip that it applied in a fluid, single stroke without tugging on my lips, but it didn't feel wet or cream-like on. The shades I tried were richly pigmented and applied evenly without emphasizing my lip lines. The formula felt almost powder-like, which gave it a velvety, denser feel compared to the average lipstick, likely due to the various silicones (dimethicone is the first ingredient). They lasted between six and eight hours on me and were non-drying to lightly hydrating. They did not seem to have any fragrance or taste.

Lucky Red (403)
Giorgio Armani Lucky Red (403) Rouge d’Armani Matte Lip Color ($38.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a medium red with neutral-to-cool undertones and a semi-matte finish. The color payoff was opaque in a single layer, which adhered evenly and smoothly across my lips without emphasizing my lip lines. It had a velvety consistency that was denser and seemed thicker but felt rather lightweight, which made it comfortable to wear over the eight hours it lasted for. The formula felt lightly hydrating after the end of the day.

Diva is a fascinating color; it has me seriously considering Ember from UD.
I have no idea if lipsticks like Diva actually look good on my skin, but man they are a weakness and now I need that one!
Lucky Red is gorgeous! If I didn’t have so many reds already, I’d probably buy it.
Paydirt! A very good friend only wears Revlon’s Iced Mocha, and I’ve been trying to find a higher-end version of the same metallic, extremely dark chocolate brown to gift her. Everything I’ve looked at, from the Too Faced Melted Chocolate collection to KVD’s Piaf and UD’s Shadowheart have all been wrong for one reason or another. And metallic dark brown is not a popular shade, so it’s rare that I get to show her a new swatch!
Lucky Red is magnificent looking! That is one very regal, sophisticated shade of red, for real. 8 hour wear is highly impressive, as well!
As for the first one, Diva, I’m very happy to say: Got MAC Taraji P. Henson ll, so I’m good!
I LOVE Diva!! I own 2 giorgio Armani lipsticks, and I ADORE them!!
Love Diva – what a glorious shade.
Diva is a stunner!
This formula and color is so fabulous… SO VERY far beyond Pat McGrath’s MatteTrance!
I got four of the new rouge d’armani matte lipsticks, two of them reds 400 and 402 and there are the most high quality matte lipsticks i own, highly recommended.
These lipsticks look wonderful, but, oh that red!
