The formula is supposed to be "intensely pigmented" with a "long lasting matte" finish ("8-hour wear") and is "non-drying." It had a denser consistency that seemed thicker but wasn't heavy, and there was just enough slip that it applied in a fluid, single stroke without tugging on my lips, but it didn't feel wet or cream-like on. The shades I tried were richly pigmented and applied evenly without emphasizing my lip lines. The formula felt almost powder-like, which gave it a velvety, denser feel compared to the average lipstick, likely due to the various silicones (dimethicone is the first ingredient). They lasted between six and eight hours on me and were non-drying to lightly hydrating. They did not seem to have any fragrance or taste.
Rouge D'Armani delivers a seductive, matte lip color with non-drying, extra-comfortable, and weightless wear. A high concentration of pigments takes matte to new heights, dressing lips in more even, extreme color and maximum coverage. The formula contains 50 percent more pigments that a traditional matte lipstick. With as little as a single stroke it delivers color that lasts for hours. Light-diffusing gel allows for a rich, matte finish that looks smooth and supple, rather than dry. An emollient paste agent, ester oils, and a hydrogenated jojoba oil give application a creamy, glide-on sensation.
