Dior Party in Colours (007) Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Party in Colours (007)
Dior Party in Colours (007) High Fidelity Colours & Effects Eyeshadow Palette ($63.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a new, limited edition holiday palette that features five shimmery shades: emerald green, pink-plum, pewter, bright gold, and rich cobalt blue.
Four of the five shades had excellent pigmentation, while one was more medium and buildable in coverage. The texture felt more of the gel-powder hybrids, so they seemed like they could easily be used with a dampened brush if desired, though it only improved the performance for one shade (the one with weaker coverage) but wasn’t necessary with the other four shades.

LELimited Edition. $63.00.
Party in Colours #1
Party in Colours #1 is a rich, emerald green with subtle, warm undertones and a bright, emerald shimmer and sparkle over a metallic finish. It was intensely pigmented with a smooth, lightly creamy consistency that was moderately dense and more firmly-pressed in the palette, but it yielded easily to a brush so I was able to pick up color evenly.
The eyeshadow applied well to bare skin with a smooth, even lay down of product that lasted nicely for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.

Party in Colours #2
Party in Colours #2 is a brighter, medium pinky-plum with subtle, warm undertones and cooler pink and violet micro-sparkle and shimmer that gave it a metallic finish. The texture was smooth to the touch, dense without being too stiff or too firmly pressed into the pan, so it played well with dry brushes.
The color payoff was opaque applied dry as well as with a dampened brush with the finish being a bit shinier with the latter application technique. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours before I noticed a touch of fading.

Party in Colours #3
Party in Colours #3 is a medium, golden pewter with warmer undertones and a shiny, sparkling finish. The consistency felt more sparkly and a touch drier compared to the other shades, and it was seen through the pigmentation; it had medium, buidlable coverage dry and intense, opaque coverage applied with a dampened brush. The color wore well for eight hours on me before I noticed slight fading.

Party in Colours #4
Party in Colours #4 is a bright, medium gold with subtle, warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. The eyeshadow was richly pigmented, while the texture was smooth, creamy without being too firmly pressed into the pan, so the powder played well with dry brushes (the coverage was the same regardless of wet or dry use!). It lasted well for eight and a half hours before showing signs of wear.

Party in Colours #5
Party in Colours #5 is a rich, cobalt blue with strong, cool undertones and a pearly sheen. It had opaque pigmentation applied dry as well as with a dampened brush, though it deepened slightly with the latter application method.
The texture was slightly firmer in the pan compared to the other four shades in the palette, though by no means stiff or too firmly pressed into the pan. The eyeshadow applied evenly and blended out fairly well along the edges. This shade stayed on well for eight hours on me before creasing faintly.

This is really a festive and fun looking palette! I really love it, but doubt that I absolutely *need* it. Still, it would be a compact way to get fun shades to travel with! It’s a maybe!
WOW!! I still can’t believe these are Dior shadows! The pigment and quality are stunning!! My fave is that pewter, so complex looking. It’s been so long, since I’ve seen a Dior quint get an A. f Dior keeps this up, my wallet’s in big trouble
I HAD to click and look at the swatches. Maybe I’m mistake but I don’t recall Dior pressed eyeshadows receiving high marks in forever ?
They have since they switched to the newest iteration, I think, the High Fidelity formula, which has been more of the gelee type formula!
This is such a fun color combo. It really does feel like a party—metallic confetti!
I have mentioned on the blog before that I usually pick up a Dior quint and a Chanel quad each holiday. I had looked at the Dior offerings and was underwhelmed. I think it has something to do with my purchase of Viseart Coy which echoes these bright, colorful shades. I am happy to see Dior continue with this new formula and am ecstatic to see it get an A. I may change my mind about this one and pick it up. I really love the eye look and the quality. It doesn’t hurt that the green is so vibrant and beautiful. I do have the dupes but a good green always draws me in, LOL!
I agree with you, I LOVE a good GREEN.
Dior got a quad AND colorful eyeshadow right? What? I’ll check the sky for pigs.
This is a beautiful, vivid palette and it’s hard to believe that Dior has produced something so good. If I didn’t have these shades already, I would be all over it.
Gorgeous eye look to Christine.
I love the pewter-y middle shade and the green but have dupes for both (but I really love the look of that pewter-y one!); the other shades just don’t do it for me.
Gorgeous. If I were up for colorful sparkly, this would be it. Now that color is back, the oppositional side of my brain is being drawn to neutrals. (Speaking of back, glad Dior has gone back to player.)The pewter and the green, oooh. Wondrous Knight and a dozen greens live in my SG Adept already, so I can be satisfied just looking at this gem.
Yes I agree…..looks really good……..I love these dior holiday 5 pans…..I might have to get this……..yikes I’m an addict……?
I’m enjoying the looks I get from this palette. Glad it got a good rating! I also like the pink lip stick I brought from this collection.
OMG This is beautiful and your ratings were good. I believe I will definitely take a look at this quad. Love the emerald green.
I can see a thousand looks pairing both their new palettes together!!! I’m not suggesting a 10-color look, but I’m visualizing a thousand 3 or 4 color looks. I think both palettes are spectacular, and could be or should be used as partners in crime. (Christine, I love how you showcase the blown-out effect of each color. They are so very beautiful.)
I definitely don’t need or want this, but I can certainly appreciate the beauty and complexity of that green and cobalt blue shadows. What an improvement in quality from Dior!
Dior rarely has eyeshadow that grabs my attention, but this palette is STUNNING! These colors would be perfect for a New Year’s Eve Party or if you’re like me, everyday.
Christine, did you apply the eyeshadow with a light hand? The color looks very bright, but yours appears to be more sheer. By the way, I love how creative you are with all of the palettes.
I applied them the same way I apply eyeshadow in general – I didn’t use a lighter or heavier hand with the palette!
I think this is going to be my first Dior eyeshadow purchase.
Just looking at this quad makes me smile and feel happy!
I don’t need it, I have loads of colourful makeup, but being a former Dior girl, I bought almost every quad there was for some time, I would love to have it.
Stunning, but no way even if you said it was the best EVER palette even over Pat McGrath would I play that for this little palette. I only buy these when we have the -60 or more off in July in France.
Hi Christine! I have a question for you. I’m preparing my list for the Rouge sale starting tomorrow and I don’t see this on the Sephora website. Will Sephora be carrying this eyeshadow palette? I see this palette on Saks and Nordstrom sites. Thank you for all you do!
Hi Jessica,
Unfortunately, I don’t have any insight. Sephora carries a very limited selection of Dior releases, but I don’t receive any information with respect to what they will or will not carry!
Ok, thank you for the quick response!
Oh My. I believe this will be a big possibility, loving that green, even though I have dupes. Beautiful palette. The way you applied the eyeshadow is gorgeous. I would never envision that unique placement of shadow. Thank You.
