Danessa Myricks Blossom Colorfix Foils ($18.00 for 0.34 fl. oz.) is a brighter, medium plum base with warm, reddish undertones and cooler flecks of blue and violet sparkle throughout. The effect can be really lovely--sparkly, shiny, and full of dimension--but the trick is trying to get the product to apply evenly and maintain its coverage.

I find that addition of sparkle to the foils can make them harder to apply evenly, so my best advice is to apply some to the back of your hand, swirl with a brush, and then apply; a fluffier, synthetic brush is also fantastic for getting an even deposit of color that isn't too wet so it dries down faster and blends out while it's being applied. This shade was one of the easier shades to work with, as the sparkle was finer and flatter, so it had more opaque coverage from the get-go and was easier to work with, even using fingertips or more traditional application techniques. Once in place, it stayed on for 10 hours without budging or fading.
