Dior Electrify High Fidelity Eyeshadow Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Electrify
Dior Electrify High Fidelity Eyeshadow Palette ($62.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a new, permanent eyeshadow palette that features a mix of coral, gold, aqua, and blue. It features a new formula that’s supposed to have “highly pigmented” color with “spectacular staying power.” The formula was better than some of the past iterations from Dior, though it was still more semi-opaque to opaque in coverage but had seven to eight-hour wear. The big difference that I noticed was in the texture; it was firmer (but not stiff) in the pan and had less dustiness than some of the past formulations. Electrify had one shade that was rather sheer, though it would not surprise me if it was deliberately sheer as it was also more sparkly, and one shade that was a little drier and took slightly more effort to blend.

Electrify #1
Electrify #1 is a light-medium, pink-coral with warm undertones and a soft, frosted finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation, which was opaque over primer but not very buildable without a base underneath it. The consistency was soft, a little dusty, but not excessively powdery or messy in the pan (nor on the eye). The color wore well for seven and a half hours on me.

Electrify #2
Electrify #2 is a light gold with warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. The texture was firmer but very smooth–it almost felt wet–and was not nearly as glittery as past palettes where the center shade has been chocked full of glitter. It had sheer coverage, which was not buildable, and worked best patted over another shade for added shimmer or along the inner tear duct to open up eyes. It wore well for seven and a half hours on me.

Electrify #3
Electrify #3 is a very light greenish aqua with warmer undertones and a pearly sheen. It had good pigmentation, though it was not fully opaque, with a strong white base–it looked a lot lighter applied than it did in the pan. The consistency was soft, silky, and blendable without so soft that it became powdery. This shade started to fade on me after eight hours of wear.

Electrify #4
Electrify #4 is a slightly muted, medium blue with subtle, cool undertones and a satin sheen. (It almost looked like a “warm” blue.) The eyeshadow felt smooth, soft but not powdery, and blended out well on the eye. It had nearly opaque color payoff, but it seemed to fade after I applied it (without primer) so it never looked as vibrant on as it did in the pan. The color lasted well for seven and a half hours on me.

Electrify #5
Electrify #5 is a blackened blue with cool undertones and a pearly sheen. It had good pigmentation that applied evenly to bare skin, but it was a little fussier to blend out as it looked slightly patchy at times. The eyeshadow felt a little drier in the pan, which might be why the edges did not look as seamless without help. I had no trouble blending out the color over an eyeshadow primer, though. I noticed slight fading after eight hours of wear.

This is a really pretty set of shades but rather spend the money on a larger palette for the same price.
Interesting color combo, but I think 3 of the colors are going to be too sheer for me.
Dior has always done a fab job at coming up with combos!
On Dior’s instagram, it said there was a matte in this palette. Peculiar —
Sorry, none of them seemed matte to me!
Dior never has mattes in their quints. So, I took note when they said this exact same palette had matte, satin, velvet and glitter shadows. I was hoping maybe they had recognized people want more mattes. But, I have no doubt you’re right. Someone handling the American account for Dior goofed.
Dior definitely has mattes in some of their quints – http://www.temptalia.com/swatches/dior-high-fidelity-colours-effects-eyeshadow-palette/
Yes, a B, but it sure is pretty applied in your eye look! Very reminiscent of the ocean and has a great summer feel to it. I’m not so sure it’s $62 worth of ocean, though? But maybe….
Thank you, Nancy! I’d try to dupe it at this performance level at this price!
I agree Nancy, not sure the B and no mattes is worth $62. I just can’t justify it at that price point. Christine you saved me money! I was drooling over this last night when I saw it on Sephora’s app.
It’s beautiful look but I’m not sure I have the lid space or patience to make this happen!
Wish this scored higher. This is a lovely, unique combo of colors. But B+? I’ll take your word on it.
I really love Dior beauty products. Such a pretty stuff. Thanks for sharing this reviews!
I like this colour scheme! At first I couldn’t figure out how they would go together, but your look at very helpful!
This is a stunning little quint of blues – love it. And a truly beautiful eye look Christine.
It’s a pretty combination of colors, but the lighter shades aren’t pigmented enough for my taste.
This looks like a pretty spring garden but this is so NOT a palette for me. What’s particularly funny is that looking at the top 10 dupes listed for each shade, I don’t even have those…that’s how “not” my colours these are. Having said all that, #5, that rich blue, is gorgeous.
Very interesting and refreshing colour combo after the deluge of warm tones we’ve had recently! Although I have to say that I personally find warm tones easier to pull off. I would also have appreciated a couple of mattes in here; I’m more comfortable using those in the socket and crease.
These colours are absolutely stunning; they just say *summer* to me 🙂 I’m going to check this one out for sure!
