Chrissy Teigen

Becca x Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette ($46.00 for 0.53 oz.) includes two highlighters, a blush, and a bronzer housed in a large, square-shaped palette. One of the four products is a repeat from the permanent line (Rose Gold), while the other three are exclusive to the palette. It’s well worth some consideration if you’re a fan of warmer cheek products in hues of peach, pink, and coral and like your shimmer. The four shades coordinated well with each other and layered nicely, blended without issue, and lasted well on the skin.

The palette contains $48.86 worth of Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed, $12.92 worth of Sunlit Bronzer, and $13.76 worth of Luminous Blush, which is a total value of $75.54.

Rose Gold

Rose Gold is a medium copper with warm, reddish undertones and a sparkling, metallic sheen. It had medium, buildable pigmentation–both the version in the palette as well as the standalone version I have are actually less pigmented than most of Becca’s powder highlighters. The texture didn’t feel rough, but there were larger sparkles in it, so it did not seem as creamy or as finely-milled compared to most of the range. On the skin, it was easily blended across the cheeks and high points of the face and yielded a strong, metallic sheen that did not emphasize pores on me. It wore well for eight and a half hours before fading.

Formula Overview

$38.00/0.25 oz. - $152.00 Per Ounce

The Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed formula is described as having an "ultra-reflective shine" with a "creamy" texture that "applies seamlessly." In general, the texture of the highlighters is incredibly smooth, silky, and finely-milled with frosted to metallic finishes and the occasional more sparkly finish.

They tend to have a high-shine, more metallic finish and are a stronger highlighter, so they are going to be best suited to someone who likes an obvious highlight over a very subtle one. That being said, with a fan brush and a deft hand, one could certainly achieve a subtler, all-over luminosity as well, but if one takes a typical, tapered highlighting brush, there will be quite a bit of pigment and highlight on the skin.

I find that some shades can emphasize the look of pores slightly to moderately, depending on application. They tend to last between eight to nine hours on me.

Hibiscus Bloom

Hibiscus Bloom is a bright, medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and fine, golden pearl. It had a subtle glow on the skin but did not appear truly shimmery, which I think worked well within the palette as there were two highlighters that could easily be layered on top for added shimmer. The consistency was smooth in the pan and not at all powdery, but it was still easy to pick up the product on my brush and blend out on my skin. It had rich, opaque pigmentation (but the formula was supposed to be buildable) that stayed true on the skin for almost nine hours.

Formula Overview

$34.00/0.2 oz. - $170.00 Per Ounce

This formula is supposed to have “just the right balance of color and light” that can be worn alone or “as a blush topper.” It seemed like it is supposed to be somewhere between sheerer like a highlighter and more pigmented like a blush (hence why it can also be layered), which is the best I can surmise from their marketing (there’s a lot of use of subtle as well, which at least indicates, to me, that they’re not saying it’s ultra pigmented).

I noticed that layering is best with a very, very light hand and a feathery brush or else the original blush can get overshadowed, as the formula runs semi-opaque. Much like the Shimmering Skin Perfectors, a little can go a long way. Most of the shades I tested lasted around eight hours on me.

Malibu Soleil

Malibu Soleil is a medium-dark brown with warm, golden undertones and a satin finish. There was just enough shimmer in it to keep it from looking matte on the skin, but it did not look shimmery or glittery either. The consistency was slightly firmer in the pan compared to the other three powders in the palette, but it did not have any negative impact on the application, as it remained blendable and easy to work with on my skin. It had excellent pigmentation that wore well for eight and a half hours on me.

Beach Nectar

Beach Nectar is a soft, peachy coral with warm undertones and a golden, metallic finish. It had good pigmentation with a soft, slightly looser consistency that kicked up some excess shimmer in the pan. The powder diffused well over the skin and was blendable. There was slightly emphasis of my skin’s natural texture if worn heavily, but there was just a strong, metallic sheen when worn at medium or sheerer coverage. The highlighter wore well for eight and a half hours on me before becoming a little patchy.

Looks beautiful! I don’t really use highlighters much so hopefully I won’t splurge and pick this up (I have a problem!). I would be more inclined to buy if the blush were a bigger pan. It seems odd that the highlighters are the bigger pans in this palette since generally a little goes a long way.

Sylvia Avatar

This is a beautiful palette, but it makes no sense to me to have the blush and bronzer be smaller than the highlighters. Most of us aren’t going to bathe in highlighter for daily wear, although I admit that many of us probably already have more than we need makeup wise.

Maggie Avatar

Honestly, I’m super happy they did it this way because I LOVE Becca for its highlighters! The rest in this palette is just bonus material. As far as sensibility, perhaps the sales of their highlighters compared to their other products are reflected proportionally in the pan sizing? Also, it makes sense to me because the highlighters are more versatile: can be used year-round with other cheek products but a pigmented bright pink blush and a medium-dark bronzer may be more seasonal/occasional.

Kelley Avatar

At first I thought it *was* Naked Truth! I own that one and it is divine. Let’s hope Orgasm performs well so you can get it!

Nicole D Avatar

I’m glad it performs well ! I missed the JH palette but I got this one and I enjoy it a lot. I was afraid that it might not work for my cool to neutral fair skin but it does. I love that the shades are buildable, therefore you can use a light had and make them work for the fair skin. Also, love that the highlighters are subtle enough for my taste so you cannot see the glitz & glam from the space 🙂

rashmi Avatar

This looks like an awesome palette ….

I’m looking for a travel friendly palette to carry with me 🙂 but not this I guess

right now I keep UD blush n highlighter
hourglass powder n blush …

need an all round palette for small travel

Tammy Avatar

I was worried that this palette might be too dark for me (I’m NW20) but it isn’t. I wore it to work last night and I love it!!!

Olivia Avatar

Got it on Monday and I love it so much! I was scared because I don’t like super strong highlighters but this one was just right. Glad I took the risk. I have been wearing all 4 on my face at the same time every day since I got it yet I don’t look overboard, which I am sure can be done with this palette too.

Olivia Avatar

I just thought I would add that my only complaint (and it’s not really a complaint because I love it) is that the Hibiscus Bloom blush in this palette is pretty similar to Snapdragon, which I already have in my Becca blush trio. I do think Snapdragon has a little more gold sheen in it and is a little more sheer than Hibiscus Bloom but my reaction when I first saw it was, “hey, I already have that blush”. I guess they are different enough and I do think both are pretty.

Ameerah Avatar

Not very excited about this, It has two highlighters that I have similar, dupes for. The blush and bronzer shades in this palette are not the kind I would wear frequently. I think I will pass this one. I love the Nars orgasm lipstick on you though. Might get that after seeing your swatches and review on it!

Neonails Avatar

Yay! I received mine on Tuesday and I was really pleased with the quality. I wasn’t sure if it was going to work with my skin tone (I’m fair and lean cooler in tone) but the Beach Nectar highlight is actually light enough on my skin! They actually look really nice on the eyes too. 😉

Indira Avatar

I just ordered mine. Like other comments I wish the bronzer were a big larger. Hopefully, this will be great for travel. As always, thank you for your honest reviews. 🙂

Chacha Avatar

Beautiful! like you Christine…are you wearing the Teint idole ultra wear foundation from lancome? What colour please? its like the first time i see you wear it,so im really curious to know what colour match on you because we have the same skintone 🙂 in advance thank you

Claire L Avatar

I far prefer this to the Jaclyn Hill palette, it’s good to see that it also works for other readers with fair cool to neutral tones! I do have dupes though for 2 of the shades on checking the dupes list which is kind of a shame as I don’t have dupes for the other 2!

Silvia Avatar

Love all shades but don’t have the space for more highliters gone crazy with them yet I have to wear so lightly being so cool toned it’ll take me the 7 lives of a cat to wear them all! Lol! Also impatiently awaiting for the WetnWild unicorn release like I need anything else. Lol! Should be fun! I already have the unicorn highliter.

Brenda Avatar

It really reminds me of the JH palette which I barely use. I’ve swatched rose gold and it’s too dark for me. The bronzer looks too dark and the blush looks like a dupe to the one in the JH palette. I like the new highlighter and now I have an excuse to pick up Kevin Aucoin highlighter. ?

Deborah S. Avatar

I just purchased this today and although I am white as a sheet I think I will be able to use all of these in some fashion. For sure the bronzer is too dark but I will use it on my eyes and/or buff some off before applying. The highlighters are both too dark for me but again, I buff off on my wrist and they work beautifully. I can also use them as blush toppers. I am pretty happy with my purchase and really love Chrissy so wanted to support her palette.

Waymire Avatar

I swatched it in store today.. and brought it home. Honestly it’s too dark for fair skin (the HL) but I figure I will wear them as blush toppers if I have to.. or on the eyes. My skin is light/ light medium and I “might” be able to get away with the HE HL as an actual HL. It’s made in the US and every product is gorgeous.. smooth, rich, and buttery. The new HL is so stinking pretty.. like a really pale apricot with multicolor sheen. UGH. The bronzer is a nice neutral tone, just slightly warm but way less than most in these palette sets. The packaging is beautiful.

Isa Avatar

So torn on this palette. Becca does my favourite highlighter formula and I love the colour of the highlights and blush. But I don’t ever use bronzer and it seems like a waste to buy a palette when I won’t use a quarter of the product it contains. 🙁

danlei Avatar

do you think this palette is suitable for a light-medium skin toned gal? the highlighters are very pink, and i was wondering if they would just look like blush toppers if i wore this as highlight

Lucie Avatar

I got this a few days ago, but haven’t been able to do more than swatch it briefly. However, I really like Chrissy Teigan (and Becca products) and was watching the sneak peeks where they were claiming this would work well for fair to light folks (or anyone really). I’m not convinced. It’s beautiful and I love the texture of the products, but I’m smack between fair and light and cooler toned (but I do like to pair a warmer blush with my look sometimes) and I’m having doubts. I usually use a fairly light touch anyway, but I will have to be extra light using this. I’m hoping to play around with it this weekend and get a better idea.

Jessica Avatar

Hi Christine,

This looks like a beautiful palette! I love your reviews! I would like to build my blush collection and I would love your opinion. Would you suggest this over the Nars Unfiltered II Cheek Palette? I am fair and find that warm eyeshadows shadows look best on me. Which would you choose?

Thank you!

Celine Avatar

I really like this pallet and of course one of my favorite is the blushes! It stayed in a long time like more than 6 hours. So beautiful. And The blush is pretty pigmented. I’m a fan for this beautiful pallet ❤️ The bronzer is also beautiful on my cheeks, it doesn’t have that much shimmery or gliterry when you apply. It’s so blendable. I love it soo much

let Avatar

thank you for your review on this palette it’s very detail !
but may i ask you, i lil bit confused of choosing between this beck Christy Teigen glow palette and too faced peach highlighter.. which one do you prefer ? my skin is light but not pale.. which one it’s suits me ?
i’ll be happy to hear your answer and really appreciate your answer
thank you !

Chris Avatar

It looks so pretty..

Same as a lot of people here, I wished the bronzer was a bigger size compared to the highlighters. This particular bronzer would dust across the cheeks, nose and forehead, so I’d use a lot more product than the highlighter!
