ColourPop Spritz Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick
ColourPop Spritz Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick ($6.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is described as a “mid-tone true bubblegum pink.” It’s a slightly muted, medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had opaque pigmentation with a thin, almost runny, texture that was easy to apply and then “set” to a lightly tacky consistency. It sat fairly well on the lips without being heavy, and the color didn’t lift when you press your lips (despite the tackiness). There is minimal transfer, but it isn’t completely dry. The color lasted for six and a half hours on me and was very lightly drying. Make Up For Ever M200 (DC, $22.00) is lighter (95% similar). Maybelline Ravishing Rose (P, $7.99) is more shimmery (95% similar). Coloured Raine Charmed (P, $17.00) is darker (95% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Virgin Rose (P, $57.00) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). NARS Roman Holiday (P, $27.00) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). MAC Lovelorn (P, $19.00) is glossier (90% similar). Burberry Primrose (21) (P, $34.00) is darker (90% similar). Hourglass I Love (P, $34.00) is darker, cooler, glossier (90% similar). MAC Silly (LE, $19.00) is lighter, brighter, warmer (90% similar). ColourPop 1st Base (LE, $6.50) is warmer (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Rosie (LE, $36.00) is more shimmery, darker, glossier (85% similar). Smashbox Just Hit Play (P, $21.00) is lighter, glossier (85% similar). Maybelline Pink Sugar (P, $7.99) is lighter, brighter (85% similar). Make Up For Ever Cold Pink (203) (P, $20.00) is darker (85% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Jolly Molly (220) (P, $30.00) is lighter, brighter, glossier (85% similar). Bite Beauty Lotus (P, $24.00) is more muted (85% similar). KVD Beauty Melancholia (P, $20.00) is lighter (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
ColourPop Botanical Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick ($6.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is described as a “neon peachy coral.” It’s a bright, light-medium coral-orange with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had rich, opaque color payoff with a smooth, creamy consistency that was thin but not so thin that it looked streaky when applied. The texture “dried” to a satin finish and had a light tackiness to it with minor transfer. It wore for six and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating. Too Faced Melted Coral (P, $21.00) is lighter, cooler, glossier (90% similar). MAC Margherita (LE, $19.00) is lighter, more muted, warmer (90% similar). ColourPop Chella (LE, $7.00) is lighter, more muted (90% similar). NARS Catherine (P, $34.00) is darker (95% similar). Bite Beauty Nearly Neon Peach (LE, $26.00) is glossier (90% similar). ColourPop Oversized (LE, $7.00) is more muted, warmer, glossier (90% similar). Sephora Samba (LE, $12.50) is darker, glossier (90% similar). MAC Rich & Restless (P, $21.00) is darker, cooler, less glossy (85% similar). Bobbi Brown Soft Coral (DC, $37.00) is darker, glossier (85% similar). ColourPop Pacific (LE, $6.50) is darker, less glossy (80% similar). Sephora Adventuring (63) (P, $8.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (80% similar). ColourPop Naked Ladies Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick ($6.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is described as a “bright coral red.” It’s a bright, medium coral-red with a semi-matte finish. It had excellent coverage with full opacity, while the texture was thin, spreadable, and comfortable to wear. I noticed this one had more of a semi-matte finish and very little sheen compared to most of the shades I’ve tried in this range, but it isn’t clingy on. This shade was still going strong after six hours. It was neither drying nor hydrating over that period. Bite Beauty Pickled Ginger (DC, $26.00) is lighter (95% similar). Bobbi Brown Watermelon (P, $28.00) is darker (95% similar). Tarte So Fetch (P, $20.00) is lighter, brighter, cooler (95% similar). ColourPop Daytrip (P, $7.00) is brighter (90% similar). Make Up For Ever #37 (DC, $19.00) is glossier (90% similar). Burberry Bright Crimson (P, $34.00) is brighter, cooler, glossier (90% similar). NARS Get Up Stand Up (P, $26.00) is darker, cooler (90% similar). Guerlain #40 (P, $33.00) is darker (90% similar). Makeup Geek Chatterbox (P, $12.00) is cooler (90% similar). NARS Grace (P, $34.00) is brighter, warmer, glossier (90% similar). ColourPop Dream Easy (LE, $10.00) is darker, more muted, glossier (90% similar). NARS Kelly (P, $34.00) is lighter, warmer, glossier (90% similar). Chanel Rouge Troublant (60) (DC, $45.00) is warmer, glossier (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Empire (P, $57.00) is more shimmery, glossier (90% similar). NYX Street Cred (P, $6.00) is cooler (90% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty So Sofia (236) (P, $30.00) is warmer, glossier (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Stimulant (P, $57.00) is glossier (90% similar). Chanel Seduisant (146) (P, $45.00) is darker, glossier (90% similar). ColourPop Ouiji (LE, $6.50) is darker, more muted, less glossy (90% similar). FORMULA OVERVIEW | ColourPop Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick ($6.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is supposed to be a “lightweight, bold lipstick with a satin finish” that is “extra intense colour saturation” and “long-wearing,” but the brand is quick to note that it is “not completely kiss proof.” The consistency is very light to lightweight with a thin to mousse-like consistency–they feel a little heavier going on than the Ultra Matte formula, but they don’t feel heavy on. They dry down somewhat, but it isn’t a full, flat dry down like matte liquid lipsticks, and when you press your lips together, there is moderate tackiness there, but I didn’t notice any lifting or separating of color by doing so. Thus far, they have been extremely long-wearing and comfortable to wear for the most part–it’s after ten hours or so that I notice my lips feeling a little dry–but six hours into wear and the colors have looked good post-meals/post-drinking. I think if you like the idea of longer-wearing, mostly matte lip color but find most liquid lipsticks too drying or too flat while not needing an ultra-hydrating formula, you might like these.

Spritz is nice. I don’t have anything like it bc I almost never wear pinks. Question, do you find these darken as they set? I experienced that with the ultra mattes (not that it’s inherently a bad thing.)
They don’t change too much when they “set” to me! I think they tend to look a little different swatched/on than how they look in the tube.
Spritz does darken on me a bit (for reference my lips are a very pigmented red-purple naturally so darker and cooler than Christine’s lovely lips) but it was about 2-hours into wear and quite subtle. Definitely a pretty undertone dependent color so like Christine said it can look a bit different on everyone. It didn’t darken much on a friend with lighter, warmer lips than mine but on me it did so YMMV. Not to the extent some Ultra Mattes do on the dry down since they don’t set in the same way but you may get a slight darkening. Nothing that overall changed the color too much.
These shades aren’t my cup of tea, but I can’t wait to try this formula. I ordered Dopey as soon as it was restocked. Depending on how well I like it, Frick & Frack, Echo Park, and Panda are on my wishlist.
I hope you enjoy Dopey!
It just came today! Can’t say much for wear yet, but, wow, it shows up a lot darker on me!I still like the color, but I’m just surprised how dark it dried.
I love these shades! And my ColourPop wishlist gets even longer…
LOL! When does it ever get shorter? They release sooo many new things!
These are pretty! Bright and fresh, yet quite wearable.
They are very summer-esque!
Love all of these! I wonder why CP doesn’t list them as LE on their website? Hmmm.
I don’t know if they ever list stuff really as LE or not?
They don’t. That would be helpful though if they did. 🙂
What blush are you wearing??? It looks gorgeous on you.
I didn’t write it down the idiot I typically am about stuff like that. Sorry!
No worries! And you’re definitely NOT an idiot. I’m amazed at all the info you keep together.
I LOVE CP’s Ultra Satins and will not go back to their Ultra Mattes. I have some of the newer goodies (including the elusive Dopey) arriving tomorrow. Can’t wait!
Not my colors at all, but glad they scored well
Always nice when they score well!
I purchased Spritz after seeing initial swatches on ColourPop’s Snapchat. I was extremely disappointed, unfortunately. They made it appear much more natural of a pink (darker and more nude). It’s pretty, but not what I was expecting.
What kind of color did it appear to you?
These colours are gorgeous and so so vibrant! Great alternatives to the higher end brands like Tarte, and Too Faced! I don’t know if I would ever finish an entire tube by itself!
It would be tough!
All three shades are beautiful and they scream SUMMER!!!
I especially love the watermelon-y goodness of Naked Ladies! Hoping it’s not *too* similar to La Vie En Rouge, seems considerably lighter, though?
Spritz is another nice one, but I fear it will be too light. Might get it anyway!
I think it is lighter – not quite as red 🙂
I kinda need Naked Ladies for the name, but mostly for the color. I love it.
If you love the color and the name, win-win!
Naked Ladies looks so good on you, I especially like it with Descanso. I have to say that this is my first Colourpop disappointment. I expected Spritz to be darker, it looks awful on me! Naked Ladies is a bit better, but more coral than I expected. Oh, well, I’ll just pass them on.
Oh, I’m so sad you didn’t enjoy your order, Alice!
Botanical looks awesome!
It does!
I’ve been trying to make up my mind if I want to try one of these Ultra Satins since the formula was first introduced (the Ultra Matte was a non-starter), but couldn’t pull the trigger on any of the original shades. Naked Ladies just might convince me to go for it… WOW, that’s gorgeous!
It’s a pretty one! Do you like liquid matte lipsticks in general or not at all? I think it’s an impressive formula (the Ultra Satin) for those who like the idea of long-wearing mostly matte color but not the clingy/dry nature of the average liquid lipstick.
Naked Ladies for me!!! I thought Please Me and Spritz are identical for a sec. Thanks for the swatches!!!
No problem, Laarni!
Naked Ladies is my fave here. They seem a little less shiny than the others though. Pickled Ginger was one of my first thoughts on dupes.
They do!
Naked Ladies is such a gorgeous color on you, Christine, just like Pickled Ginger is — I really wish this kind of color looked like that on me! When I put them on, what you see is just the orange in them. I think that happens because of the contrast with my very cool undertones. Not sure why, colors in the pink/red/coral/peach family usually look warmer on my lips than they do next to white or another neutral color.
I picked up Naked Ladies and it’s amazing!
Any recommendations on how to tone down the neon-ness of botanical? It pains me to pass it on, but right now, it is not working with my medium/yellow skin tone.
If you have a brown or plum, that might help! A peach would make it lighter, but I think it would still be quite bright.
