Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Intense & Pillow Talk Medium Lipsticks Review & Swatches
Pillow Talk Medium
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Medium Matte Revolution Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, dusty coral with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had medium coverage in a single layer that was buildable to semi-opaque coverage with a second layer. It was paired with a smooth, lightly emollient texture that felt more velvety than moist, so it glided on easily but didn’t feel slippery on. There was a smidgen of product that sank into my deeper lip lines but wasn’t noticeable in person (just in the close-up photos). It wore well for four and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$37.00/0.12 oz. - $308.33 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "long-lasting color" that's "buildable" with "glowing pigments" that give the "illusion of wider, fuller lips." Some shades are buildable while others are fairly pigmented in one stroke. The consistency was more velvety, lightweight, and thin without being clingy or drying over time. I found that some shades were flattering on, as they didn't emphasize lip texture or get into my lip lines, while other shades gravitated into my lip lines. They wore between three and five hours and were typically non-drying. There was no discernible scent or taste.

Pillow Talk Intense
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Intense Kissing Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark reddish-brown with subtle, warm undertones and a luminous sheen. It had nearly opaque color payoff in one pass, which adhered evenly and smoothly on my lips without emphasizing my lip texture or lip lines. The consistency was lightweight, creamy, and moderately emollient but didn’t slide around my lips too readily. It lasted nicely for four and a half hours and felt hydrating while worn.

The Kissing formula is supposed to be pigmented and luminous, while also being hydrating. It has a creamier, lightweight consistency that's comfortable to wear and to apply with a moderately hydrating formula to back it. I find that some of the creamier shades can sit in my lip lines a bit, but it really depends on the shade on how noticeable it is in person. The wear ranges from three to five hours (reds and the like). There's a faint, sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

Uh oh…I may have just jumped on the Pillow Talk train today. Pillow Talk Intense is EXACTLY my kind of shade! Just worried that my tube of PMG Strangé Luxetrance is a bit too close, though? It looks like the same shade, but deeper and even more “intense”.
Beautiful shades though will need to try on in store as the original Pillow Talk looks beige on my lips. There’s something about the undertone changes the shade when applied to my lips. I’ve also noticed the Medium shade look mauve on some lips. My preference is the Intense shade; it reminds me of a darker version of my beloved MAC Taupe lipstick.
I’m the same way. The original Pillow Talk made me look like the living dead.
I really like how the medium looks on your lips! Tbh I might grab one next trip to the mall. But I was just thinking, why all the beautiful shades have to be related to the pillow talk… surely they will sell without having the same name.
Pillow Talk Medium is much lighter than I expected and for that reason is easily ruled out. I do love the Matte Revolution formula for a matte lipstick. I really love Intense and while I don’t have anything on the dupe list, I am sure I have shades that are similar. I really do love it though and since I have been very good I think I can treat myself to a lippie.
I do like the KISSING formula, so I’m potentially interested in the Intense. Hopefully I can test it in Sephora, since I find that lip colors look rather different on me than they do on Christine.
I really like Pillow Talk Intense – it’s my kind of shade.
Interesting. I like the medium one. Even though I’m fair the OG pillow talk looks horrible on me. Way too tawny and pulls yellowy.
Uhh. I splurged on this collection. Got the intense blush (which I love) both lipsticks, eyeliner and the medium lip pencil. I absolutely love everything.
Intense is very, very lovely, and I think it would be an excellent counterpart to Tilbury’s Stoned Rose (an all-time top ten favorite for me.) And it really would look so amazing on nearly any skin tone! I am digging it.
Thank you Christine! I’ve been waiting on these reviews!
Those shades look very good. Much better than original Pillow Talk 😀
Isn’t Anyone wondering why the last bullet is shaped differently than all her others?
The KISSING range is actually this shape most of the time.
