Chanel Rose Eclatant & Rouge Vie Radiant Rouge Allure Velvet La Cometes Reviews & Swatches
Rose Eclatant (128)
Chanel Rose Eclatant (128) Rouge Allure Velvet La Comete ($40.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a bright, medium red with neutral-to-warm undertones and a satin finish. There were barely-there flecks of gold micro-sparkle, but they were very hard to detect in person. The texture was lightweight, thin, and more velvety, but it was forgiving of lip texture (like flaking). It had mostly opaque, buildable pigmentation that wore well for five hours and was moisturizing over time.

Rouge Vie Radiant (138)
Chanel Rouge Vie Radiant (138) Rouge Allure Velvet La Comete ($40.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a bright, medium red with neutral-to-cool undertones and a satin finish. It was richly pigmented and was very nearly opaque in a single layer, but I felt like I had to go over the inner area of my lips to achieve full coverage there.
The consistency was smooth, velvety, and lightweight with a thinner feel that did not seem clingy or prone to emphasizing lip texture or lip lines. It lasted nicely for five hours and was hydrating over time.

Rose Eclatant looks sooo spring-y and vibrant! On me, I’m fairly certain that it would appear more as a coral-red than a warm-to-neutral red because my skintone is somewhat darker. I already have Terre d’Etoiles on my “To Get” list, so I’m not 💯 about buying 2 $40 lipsticks…
I think these shades, whilst very pretty, are fairly similar to each other. But they are both gorgeous.
These are both really pretty colors. As mentioned in my Friday haul, I just purchased MAC Pink Roses and while not in anyway similar, I don’t feel I need to purchase anymore lipsticks right now. I didn’t need to pick up the MAC, either!
