Chanel Experimental & Daylight Rouge Coco Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Experimental
Chanel Experimental Rouge Coco Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a bright, medium coral-red with warm undertones and a natural sheen. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that covered the lips evenly with thin, lightweight color that was comfortable to wear and easy to apply. The lipstick was smooth, creamy without being slippery, and lasted for four hours on me. It left a very faint stain behind and was lightly hydrating.

Formula Overview
$37.00/0.12 oz. - $308.33 Per Ounce
The Rouge Coco formula is supposed to have "full coverage with a creamy yet lightweight finish" that is also hydrating. The coverage was semi-sheer to semi-opaque with the occasional shade being closer to full coverage, but it would not be a formula I'd recommend to someone looking for truly opaque pigmentation out of their lip color. Where the formula excels is in the more luminous finish--a soft sheen without the slipperiness of a gloss--that often is forgiving on the lips. The texture is lightweight, smooth, and comfortable to wear and to apply. The formula ranged from lightly hydrating to lightly drying with most somewhere between non-drying and lightly hydrating. The lipstick lasted two to four hours on me but reapplies well. They have a rosy scent but no discernible taste.

Daylight
Chanel Daylight Rouge Coco Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a light-medium, peachy beige with warmer undertones and a natural sheen. The consistency had some slip to it, which gave it a glossier finish compared to some of the other shades in the Rouge Coco range have had. While it glided across the lips easily, the color pooled in my lip lines noticeably and beyond just the deeper lines. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that did not appear streaky, which was a plus and noteworthy for this type of color (with this finish). On me, it lasted for two and a half hours and was lightly moisturizing over time.

First thought upon seeing Experimental applied to lips; it immediately brought to mind UD Sheer Slowburn in the Revolution formula!
Daylight *looks* nice enough, but the weartime is way too short for me. The shade itself is probably to light for me anyways, easy skip.
At this price, it’s understandable you want something that’ll last longer!
Experimental is nice.
Happy to hear it!
‘Experimental’ is so pretty on you!
Thank you, Deborah!
Experimental is a lovely, every day shade.
It is!
I love Experimental! Beautiful shade!
That seems to be the fave!
Sad to see Daylight do so poorly. It looks like the definition of a MLBB shade. It doesn’t really alter the color of your lips, it just enhances them a bit.
I wish Daylight was better!
I’m impressed that such a super light color like Daylight doesn’t look streaky at all
It’s definitely not the worst in the color family!
Experimental looks lovely! Even better that it’s permanent as I don’t have a lipstick that looks quite like this.
Oh I really like Experimental and the sheen that it gives! Must check this out.
