Editor's Review

The Rouge Coco formula is supposed to have "full coverage with a creamy yet lightweight finish" that is also hydrating. The coverage was semi-sheer to semi-opaque with the occasional shade being closer to full coverage, but it would not be a formula I'd recommend to someone looking for truly opaque pigmentation out of their lip color. Where the formula excels is in the more luminous finish--a soft sheen without the slipperiness of a gloss--that often is forgiving on the lips. The texture is lightweight, smooth, and comfortable to wear and to apply. The formula ranged from lightly hydrating to lightly drying with most somewhere between non-drying and lightly hydrating. The lipstick lasted two to four hours on me but reapplies well. They have a rosy scent but no discernible taste.

Honestly, I purchased this because I was told the model in the summer campaign ad was wearing this and It looked gorgeous, lol! I have many dupes and I think this is a pretty dupable shade aside form the sheen. But, you could always imitate that with a balm/gloss. I think it's nice and moisturizing. It is sheer and wears about 3 hours without eating or drinking. It will start to wear form the center out. I like to layer it over a more matte lipstick to add moisture and longevity. A primer or lip liner helps extend wear a hour or so. Overall, I like this shade and Julia the best out of this formula. I swatched about all of them at the counter. The SA told me these two were the top sellers. I can see why. But, to me they are also the two most dupable. Overall, I Like them, but don't love them basically. Also,IMO, I feel they are over priced.

This is a sheer, moisturizing very wearable shade. it doesn't last more than a few hours on me without a primer or lip liner. It's a pretty color and very comfortable. It's nice for that. Just don't buy this is you are looking for long-wearing. I think these are a bit over priced personally. But, this shade is pretty. I also purchased Arthur, which I like as well.
