Chanel Camelia Blanc & Camelia Rose Rouge Allure Lip Colours Reviews & Swatches
Camelia Blanc (327)
Chanel Camelia Blanc (327) Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour ($40.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a translucent pink with warmer undertones and a natural sheen. It had sheer to semi-sheer coverage with fine, barely-there pearl throughout that gave it a soft, luminous finish.
The texture was lightweight, more balm-like–emollient with moderate slip but not thick–and comfortable to apply and to wear. For as pale as the color was, I was surprised it didn’t settle into my lip lines noticeably. It wore well for three and a half hours and was hydrating over time.
By the name, I would guess this is intentionally sheer (as the formula is supposed to be “intense”) but haven’t found any description about the shade specifically. I’m still waiting for an official press release, so should I get confirmation this is supposed to be sheer, I’ll revise the rating.

Formula Overview
$40.00/0.12 oz. - $333.33 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have a "satin finish" with "ultra-thin pigments" that yield "full coverage" while also having a moisturizing base. Most shades in the range have a satin to luminous finish--not glossy but they have a luminosity to them that gives the appearance of lighter-weight color and smoother, fuller lips that a true satin finish doesn't have (in my experience).
The texture has a more velvety feel--smooth with great glide but not a lot of wetness, so they go on comfortably but feel very lightweight and thin but don't emphasize lip lines/lip texture. The coverage tends to be more semi-opaque to opaque, so they aren't always living up to the "full coverage" claim.
Most shades wear four hours or longer with some of the deeper and richer hues lasting six hours or more, and the formula has been hydrating for me. They have a subtle, floral scent but no discernible taste.

Camelia Rose (337)
Chanel Camelia Rose (337) Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour ($40.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium pink with moderate, warm undertones and a soft, luminous sheen. It had nearly opaque color coverage in a single layer, which adhered evenly to my lips and went without tugging in a single stroke.
The texture was lightweight, thin without being clingy, and was fairly flattering to my natural lip texture–there was the smallest amount in my deeper lip lines that I could see in the close-up photo but not in person. It stayed on nicely for four and a half hours and felt moisturizing while worn.

If Camelia Blanc had been medium-to-opaque, it would have been exactly the kind of shade I’ve been looking for.
Try looking for”Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Shine in Oil Stick” in Number 42 (Baume Midi Minuit) 🙂 Kind regards.
Thank you for the suggestion! So sweet of you.
You’re very welcome Rachel! Maybe it’s something to your wishlist ? I indeed have the chanel camelia blanc lipstick, and for a more opaque finish I would suggest to put a little bit foundation on your lips as base. Then lipstick colour will be little bit more intense. But without “foundation lips base” it’s very sheer that’s why I bought it. Kind regards ?
That’s a great tip! Thanks again!
Camelia Rose is a pretty pink, but I don’t know that I would spend that kind of money for a sheer lipstick that is more like a balm….
