Chanel Elcat du Desert Illuminating Powder ($70.00 for 0.35 oz.) is a light-medium peach with moderate, warm undertones and a luminous sheen. It had opaque color coverage in a single layer, but the texture made it easy to dial down the pigmentation if buildable coverage was more preferred.
The texture seemed smooth, almost dense, to the touch, but it was actually somewhat powdery in the pan with noticeable excess product kicked up in the pan when I used it with a powder brush. I didn't experience it looking powdery applied to my skin, and I felt like the powder applied beautifully to bare skin and almost looked "melted" after I blended it in. The finish was glowing without emphasizing my skin's natural texture. It wore well for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.
