Your skin tone/coloring: light, MAC NC 20
Look you loved this week?: Looks from Melt Gemini. Haven’t loved makeup lately but my interest sparked again once I pulled out that gem!
Any new or old favorites discovered?: Melt Gemini
Any product you’re hoping to use next week? New MAC shadows! Bought Mint Condition, Samoa Silk, Mo Money Mo Problems & Starry Night before all of the quarantine craziness but I haven’t felt like trying it. Next week maybe!
Your skin tone/coloring: above dark brown hair w/highlights hazel eyes
Look you loved this week?: haven’t worn makeup this week
Any new or old favorites discovered?: n/a
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: just skin care
I’m high risk so I can’t go out so I haven’t worn makeup at all. My husband is planning a Pandemic Party for when this is all over so I’ll pull out all the plugs then! Stay safe everyone!
Skin tone/coloring: Light, neutral skin tone, green eyes, s&p hair
Look you loved this week: I didn’t wear any makeup all week, which I think is a first for me.
Any new or old favorites discovered: Nothing.
Any product you’re hoping to use next week? I’ll be working from home again and not going anywhere, so I don’t think I’ll be using any makeup.
Well, this post was awfully grim. ?
Your skin tone/coloring: Light neutral to warm (MUFE Y225/MAC NC15)
Look you loved this week?: Rockin’ a bold bright lip (Bite “Dragon Fruit”) during these times of social distancing. It’s my war paint to face the crisis we are all experiencing.
Any new or old favorites discovered?: Old favs that I’ve rediscovered are Buxom duochrome eyeshadows in “No Faux” and “Rose Gold.”
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: I ordered Cover FX’s Warm Honey blush duo, and am looking forward to trying it on after reading your glowing recommendation.
Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green/gray/blue eyes, warm brown hair.
Look you loved this week?: I did a really fun color combo with orange on the inner half of my lid and a forest green on the outer half of my lid and paired it with a peachy blush and Revlon Lustrous Lipstick in Rose Velvet (which is proving to be a new favorite lipstick for me). Of course I had nowhere to go to show it off, but I had fun doing it anyway. I know a lot of people probably haven’t been playing with makeup as much because of social distancing, but I still put it on all week long; it motivates me to get work done and is a nice way for me to wake up in the morning, even if I’m at home.
Any new or old favorites discovered?: I discovered that I really like mixing all of my foundations together… I have six, so it’s a little bit of work, but it’s perfection coverage- and finish-wise.
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: Something with olive green and maybe some pink combined. Maybe my Dose Of Colors Friendcation palette.
Your look sounds really, really pretty!
Your skin tone/coloring: light/medium, neutral undertone
Look you loved this week?: Haven’t worn much makeup this week, working from home full-time these days. But… I’m still making an effort to put some on when I do get out for a walk or to pick up essentials. I do enjoy giving my skin a break, mostly my eyes, which works out well since allergies are flaring and not wearing mascara is a joy!
Any new or old favorites discovered?: A new favorite is the Milani Silky Matte Bronzing Powder (02 Sun Kissed) because it is cool toned and doubles as contour shade.
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: The elf primer infused blush (Always Cheeky) and bronzer (Forever Sunkissed) are going into my rotation for the next month. They will be perfect for spring!
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Look you loved this week?: Using my Pixi Beauty Reflex Light palette, with Copper Penny on the lid, the first olive green shade in Chanel’s Tisse D’ Automne on the lower lid and the beautiful brown shade in the crease and I paired it with Milani’s Tuscan Toast (a rich russet brown shade) on my lips.
Any new or old favorites discovered?: Still playing with all of my eyeshadow palettes on a daily basis
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: Probably bareMinerals Soft and Smokey.
Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.
Look you loved this week?: I’ve been playing (finally!) with the PML Decadence palette. I can’t really do a complete look with it. It’s too dark. So I’ve been playing with using some other palettes with it. I didn’t hate the looks I created, but I didn’t love them, either. I’m going to keep playing with it. I was exhausted this week, so I may not have chosen the best things to pair it with. I fear I may have fallen into hype and FOMO with this one, even though I think the shadows are pretty and I am going to keep it. Plus…Star Wars packaging.
Any new or old favorites discovered?: I wouldn’t call it a “favorite,” but I tried out Shop Miss A’s new Paw Paw: AOA Perfect Filter Face Primer. It’s $1.55 USD, so I didn’t hold out high hopes, but it’s actually pretty good. Not the best I’ve ever used, but impressive for a budget brand. I’ve used worse from higher price points. It works perfectly well for everyday wear. I’d recommend it for those on a tight budget.
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?:
*Keep trying with PML Decadence.
*E.l.f. Primer Infused Blushes. I really liked the formula of the one I got a few months ago, so I bought the other shades.
Your skin tone/coloring: fair/cool skin (foundation matches: Fenty Pro Filt’r 110, Urban Decay All Nighter 2.5, NARS Natural Radiant Longwear 2.0 Mont Blanc, Kevyn Aucoin The Etherealist Light EF 02, L’Oreal True Match C3 Creamy Natural), gray eyes, brown hair with red highlights and scattered blonde/blue strands
Look you loved this week?: Friday I did a blue and gray eye and pink lip following the instructions of early beauty YouTuber Lauren Luke (from her 2009 book Lauren Luke Looks-she was inspired by Hayden Panettiere): my usual Fenty face products, the pewter BH Capricorn shimmer shadow all over my lids, Tarte Scott’s Skateboard shadow on the outer corners, Fenty Poolside highlighter on the inner corners and cheekbones and down the center of my nose, Hard Candy Ginormous Lash Electric Blue mascara, a mix of ColourPop Thnks fr th Mmrs blush and ColourPop x Disney Designer Andalasia highlighter as blush, and a mix of Sephora Lipstories Labyrinth City lipstick and Revlon Ultra HD Pink Diamond gloss.
Any new or old favorites discovered?: Last Saturday was National Fragrance Day, which I commemorated by assigning a number to each of the perfume bottles and Sephora samples in my collection (total count: 22). The winning number was 14, so I dug out the Sephora sample of Carolina Herrera Good Girl. I’m not sure whether I can call it a favorite yet, but it does work well with my body chemistry!
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: No. So far I’ve avoided setting any sort of goal and just used the products that strike my fancy. The only exception is that my new Sydney Grace products-Pure Love blush and Enduring Love (Deep) palette-just shipped today (March 30). If they arrive by Saturday, I might have to break them in a bit.
