Passion

Jouer Passion Blush Bouquet ($30.00 for 0.39 oz.) is a new blush duo that features a matte, dusty coral and a shimmering tangerine. Both shades had good pigmentation, were blendable, and lasted between eight and nine hours on me. I liked that the texture was more firmly-pressed in the pan, so they weren’t powdery and easier to work with across preferences (whether sheer, buildable, or full opacity was desired).

Cherish Me

Cherish Me is a dusty, medium-dark coral with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had a firmer consistency to the touch, so there was no powderiness but it needed a moderate hand–I wouldn’t describe it as stiff, though, as it was still easy enough to pick up and to apply to bare skin.

It had good pigmentation in a single layer, which was buildable to full coverage with less than a second layer. I didn’t notice that it darkened much on my skin, and it remained blendable even over bare skin, where matte finishes sometimes can prove troublesome. It lasted nicely for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview

-

The formula is supposed to be "highly pigmented" and "easy" to blend that "stays vibrant from morning till night." I found the powders to have a smooth, velvety texture that was a little thin, so they weren't dusty, and they were fairly blendable on bare skin and over foundation. They tended to have semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation over intense coverage in a single layer. They wore between eight and nine hours on me before fading.

Treasure Me

Treasure Me is a brighter, medium orange with strong, warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had rich color payoff in a single layer, which applied evenly to bare skin and blended out easily along the edges. The texture was smooth to the touch, more firmly-pressed (but not to the point where it became stiff), so it could be used with a lighter hand to get sheerer, more buildable coverage if preferred. It wore well for nine hours before fading visibly on me.

Treasure Me is not my usual taste in blushes, but I love this one! There is just something very unique and special about it. It does run quite warm. However, I think I may still be able to get away with wearing it.
And Cherish Me is perfect for me! Lighter than MAC Burnt Pepper, yet still has more depth than most shades in its range.
