Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Skin tone/coloring: Light, neutral skin tone, green eyes, s&p hair

Look you loved this week: I played down the eyes and played up the lips. // EYES: Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil and Goof Proof Brow Pencil, both in Cool Grey (Precisely My Brow to shape and Goof Proof to fill in); Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Au Naturel in crease; Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Perversion to tightline upper lash line; Cover Girl Clump Crusher Mascara (I really love this mascara!). // FACE: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup in Desert Beige; Lancome Effacerne Concealer; RCMA No Color Powder; MAC Glow Play Blush in Blush Please; Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Bronzer 02. // LIPS: Guerlain KissKiss in Crazy Nude (which looks darker on me than it seems like it would by looking at it in the tube).

Any new or old favorites discovered? In a recent Temptalia post, there was a question about bronzer. I said I never wear them. A couple of years ago I bought Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Bronzer 02, but it has just been gathering dust. Last weekend I was at Bloomingdales and got into a conversation with a super nice Laura Mercier sales associate, she was older…around my age. I told her I have that bronzer and asked her if she thought I should use it. She said to apply it lightly around my hairline to warm up my face a little, then proceeded to demonstrate. I have to admit that it did look nice and very subtle (not a scary fake tan look, like I was afraid of), so I’ve been using it every day since.

Any product you’re hoping to use next week? The following lipsticks that haven’t been getting enough love: MAC Coffee & Cigs, MAC Craving, Bite Beauty in Chai, Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in No. 5.

Exactly! She was wonderful. She didn’t even try to sell me the brush, which some MUAs might have done. I did wind up buying a Caviar Stick, though, but only because I spotted the gorgeous shade Violet (apparently part of a new release that’s not widely available yet) and had to have it! I’ve found that older MUAs tend to be more helpful, I guess because I’m older, too. But there’s a young MUA at the SFA Laura Mercier counter who’s great, too. Actually, as I think about it, every LM-specific MUA I’ve ever dealt with in any store has been wonderful!

Look you loved this week?: A glowy green eye look using Huda Emerald palette and MAC Jealousy Wakes.
Eyes: Mac Bamboo transition, Brown Script to warm up crease, Jealousy Wakes outer and inner lid arched over into a soft halo, outer lower lashline as well, Huda Emerald #9 tearducts, #1 mid-lid halo, #5 lower lashline, Sephora Contour Pencil in Fairytale on lower lashline, with my usual MAC Blacktrack Fluidline winged liner and Smashbox Fishnet Always On Eye Pencil on the upper tightline, and Maybelline Full & Soft waterproof mascara.
Cheeks: Nyx Taupe blush, Hourglass Infinite Flush and Brilliant Nude as my highlighter.
Lips: Mac Baroque The Internet lipstick and PML OpuLUST Gloss in Dreamscape.

Any new or old favorites discovered?: Just been digging into many a MAC single and some of my forgotten smaller palettes, like Huda Emerald and Viseart Amethyst

Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: Perhaps I’ll be blessed with receiving my Sugarpill C1 Capsule Palette by week’s end! ?

Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.

Look you loved this week?: EYES — UD Primer Potion in Enigma. E.l.f. Bite-Size Eyeshadows in Carnival Candy: Matte nude (base and brow bone), matte yellow-brown (crease, lower lid), matte orange-brown (outer 1/3 of lid and deep crease, lower lashline), and shimmery deep teal (inner 2/3 of the lid). NYX Slim Eye Pencil in Black (upper & lower waterlines). UD Perversion Mascara. BROWS — Powder from e.l.f. Eyebrow Kit in Medium. LIPS — UD x Basquiat Vice Lipstick in Epigram. CHEEKS — Tarte Exposed. FACE — ColourPop All Star Mattifying Primer; BH Cosmetics Naturally Flawless Foundation in Ivory; Ben Nye Neutral Set Powder; Sephora Color Contour in Tranquil; Anastasia HL in Eclipse; DIY setting spray.

Any new or old favorites discovered?: E.l.f. Bite-Size Eyeshadows. Great pigmentation and formula, and only $3 a quad! The packaging is sturdier, too. The Carnival Candy especially makes my eye color appear golden! Really pretty.

I’ve rediscovered my UD x Basquiat lipsticks in Epigram and Abstract. Fabulous formula and shades. They’ve gone well with the neutral looks I’ve been sporting lately for job interviews.

Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: I want to play more with the SugarPill Capsule palette.

Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green/gray/blue eyes, warm brown hair.

Look you loved this week?: I did a glam look on Monday using the Huda Beauty Nude Rich palette and MUG Grandstand on my lid. I paired it with the ND Bloom palette and Bite Beauty Virgo. It was so pretty! I felt beautiful that day.

Any new or old favorites discovered?: MUG Grandstand. It’s truly perfect.

Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: Just using more of what I have!

Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones

Look you loved this week?: I used a mixture of eye palettes to create the eye look I wanted this week. I used In the Buff (a peachy gold from bareMinerals Soft and Smokey) all over the lid, the olive shade from Bonne Etoile on the lower lid and A-Ha (a soft brown) from Soft and Smokey in the crease. I paired it Art Deco’s Indian Summer lipstick.

Any new or old favorites discovered?: Not really, I am just trying to make sure I use all my many eye palettes as possible each week.

Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: Depending on the weather and what I am wearing, but I hope to use Wet n’ Wild’s Comfort Zone (the original), Stila in the Garden and Pixi Beauty’s Reflex Light palette.
