Urban Decay Wired 24/7 Eyeliners Reviews & Swatches
Vivid
Urban Decay Vivid 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil (Eyeliner) ($22.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a medium blue with moderate, cool undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which was easily built up to full coverage with less than a second layer. The texture was creamy, smooth, and comfortable to work with as it didn’t tug or pull on my lash line. It applied evenly to both my water line as well as my lower lash line. It showed signs of fading/thinning after seven and a half hours on my lower water line and 10 hours on my lower lash line.

Formula Overview
$22.00/0.04 oz. - $550.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to go on "smoothly, stay soft and super-creamy for blending" before it "dries to a long-lasting finish that won't budge" with "intense" coverage. I'm a long-time fan and user of the formula--almost a decade now--and they're still a go-to. I keep a handful of formulas at my fingertips, and I have all of the shades from this range in a cup within reach.
It isn't the longest-wearing formula I've come across, but I find that it balances longevity with creaminess in application and ease of removal at the end. They also wear away "kindly," so while the line might get thinner, it doesn't drag or bleed toward my under eye area. The formula has solid, long-wear at eight to 10 hours before fading, thinning, or having a bit of migration to the outer corner. The less shimmery shades tend to have the most visible movement, whereas the more shimmery shades tend to fade or thin.
The pigmentation varies a lot from shade to shade with more matte shades often having the most coverage in a single layer, followed by more metallic finishes. The more glittery the finish, the weaker the coverage and application were. Many of the shades in the range are buildable and apply with near-to or opaque coverage when applied in short, overlapping strokes. The majority are very comfortable to apply on the lower lash line or waterline.
They have a creamy, glide-on consistency as promised, and they can be smudged or blended out, so they are particularly useful for someone who likes a more diffused look for their eyeliner.
As someone who has had a lot of these eyeliners over time, I can attest to the fact that they do not dry out readily. Some of the shades I have that I don't use (because they're THAT old) are still creamy and glide-on when swatched.

Amped
Urban Decay Amped 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil (Eyeliner) ($22.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a brighter, medium-dark pink with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single stroke of the pencil against my lash line. The texture was smooth with a waxy glide that made it comfortable to work with on my lower lash line, though I felt like it was a bit too waxy to work as well on my lower water line as it didn’t adhere as evenly. It wore well for 10 hours on my lower lash line and seven hours on my lower waterline.

Shock
Urban Decay Shock 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil (Eyeliner) ($22.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a medium-dark lavender with neutral-to-warm undertones and a matte finish. It had medium coverage in a single layer, which was buildable to semi-opaque coverage that was a bit uneven overall. The texture seemed waxier with a bit more slip, though it didn’t feel wet as it went on. It stayed on well for six hours on my lower water line and eight and a half hours on my lower lash line.

Jolt
Urban Decay Jolt 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil (Eyeliner) ($22.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a bright, chartreuse green with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had good color coverage in a single layer but needed a second layer for full opacity. The texture was smooth, creamy without being too wet, and glided comfortably across my lash line. It applied well to the lower lash line as well as the water line, though it lasted for nine and a half hours on my lower lash line and seven hours on my lower water line before visibly thinning/fading.

I think I would Fenty Fly instead.
Jolt is very unique! I love how bright it is and can see it looking pretty neat as a “pop of color” line above a regular black liner.
Wow, Vivid is so striking! As a big lavender fan, I wish that Shock had performed better.
Well, I have Post Punk, but I’m trying to decide if I want Jolt as a back up. The lavender isn’t the greatest, so I think I’ll skip it. I’m pretty sure I have a
Tarte gel pot in a similar lavender, anyway.
The turquoise and pink are close to their permanent Fenty counterparts, but probably smudge out better, so I’m torn.
Rachel, have you tried the LA Girl Shockwave liners? I know you’re a color lover, so you’d probably like those too. My fave is the pastel turquoise, but they’re all very good.
No, I haven’t. I’ll have to check them out. Thanks for the recommendation!
Vivid is a splendid shade of cyan blue! Perfect for summer. ?
I’m sad about Shock, though. Would have loved a pretty lavender liner like that one, but not with a C+ grade.
These are all pretty and I think Jolt would look great on my daughter. She has a blouse that colour and it looks amazing on her. Otherwise, I think I will pass on these. I like the Fenty shades a little better. The shades that I find drawing me in here are the fuschia and Jolt but I wouldn’t actually use them so I will stick with my Fenty.
Hmmm, I have dupes for all of these so it’s an easy pass.
Not exactly my shades, but these are lovely vibrant shades.
That S liner collection with Beautiful Monster, Sea If I Care, and Sly Like a Fox was beautiful all the way around, but they Cr….ed out very quickly. Jolt for me. I love a look that has simple neutrals with a wild liner.
Dang. The purple was the one I wanted.
Between these and the Flyliners , I really want to try these out . The Wired Palette looked to be kind of let down but these liners look pretty nice . Also does anyone know if there was a reason this collection is only available on Urban Decay online ?
It hasn’t launched in stores yet, and it only just launched at retailers (but it is available at Ulta, Selfridges, etc. online now).
