NABLA Cosmetics Nude Cutie Palette Review & Swatches
Nude
NABLA Cosmetics Nude Cutie Palette ($24.00 for 0.28 oz.) is a new, permanent six-pan palette with three shimmery shades and three “Latex Matte” shades. The Latex Matte finish is quite interesting and complex while actually… working well. It has more of a cream-powder base that looks almost vinyl-like–not quite matte and a bit like the subtle sheen a cream product might produce paired with flaky sparkle.
Because of the creamier texture, those flaky sparkles actually bind with the underlying product (sometimes almost getting covered) so it adds a textural element and subtle sparkle. The metallic shades are stunning–very cream-like, smooth, and have a molten look applied to skin.
The brand could be clearer about which shades were Pressed Pigments (and why) because they were marked as “Face” rather than “Eye” on the back of the palette. The following shade is considered a Pressed Pigment: No Doubts. Brands in the US typically market these products as “Pigments” (instead of “Eyeshadow”), and there is often a warning on the back of packaging or the label as the color additives are not approved for usage on the eyes by the FDA (but are approved for other areas for cosmetic usage), while these color additives have no usage restrictions in the EU (per CosIng) so they can be used on the eyes in the EU.

Moonlight
Moonlight is a light-medium gold with moderate, warm yellow undertones and a metallic sheen with faint copper sparkle throughout. The consistency was incredibly smooth to the touch, dense but not overly firm, and applied evenly to bare skin. It seemed to “melt” slightly when applied, which gave it a more seamless and flattering look applied to my eye area. It had opaque coverage that lasted well for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.

Seducer
Seducer is a deep, rosy copper with warm undertones and a bright, metallic finish. The consistency was smooth, lightly creamy with excellent pigmentation in a single layer. The eyeshadow applied well to bare skin with a smooth, even lay down of product that almost looked “melted” after initial application. It stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before creasing faintly.

Latex Nude
Latex Nude is a darker, rosy beige with warm undertones and flecks of sparkle over a creamy, matte finish. The finish was more atypical as it was sparkling but everything held together, and the sparkle was much larger–more flake-like–than one typically sees.
The texture was dense, almost more like a cream-powder hybrid, but it applied a lot better than anticipated even with less-dense brush (e.g. a crease brush). It diffused easily along the edges but still delivered excellent pigmentation in a single layer. It wore well for eight hours before fading a bit and didn’t seem prone to fallout during wear.

No Doubts
No Doubts is a medium-dark brown with warmer undertones paired with a creamy matte finish that had sparkles nicely intertwined with the base product. There was a vinyl-like look to it when heavily applied, but applied to bare skin and blended out, it looked like a soft matte with a bit of sparkle.
The texture was denser, more cream-like, so a flatter brush worked best for more intense coverage but a fluffy crease brush picked up product evenly and gave a more faded (but rather opaque) result that could be built up to get to true-to-color results. It stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.

Glorious
Glorious is a muted, deeper gold with strong, warm undertones and a bright, metallic finish. The texture was denser, slightly thicker in the pan but it was creamy and “melted” onto my lid when applied–and it picked up quite easily with a typical shader brush (much to my surprise). It had opaque coverage that stayed on well for eight and a half hours before creasing slightly.

Plastick
Plastick is a deep black with neutral-to-cool undertones and a sparkling finish. It was richly pigmented with a denser, slightly firm texture that needed a moderate-to-heavy hand to pick up product evenly onto a brush. Based on how it felt, I thought it was going to be harder to work with, but it translated well during application and blended out without difficulty. It lasted well for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.

Now this one I need! Those Latex finish shades look amazing, as does the eye look you did using this. It all has that beautiful melted look to it, but without running muddy.
I can’t recall if you have any of the newer ND palettes off the top of my head, but the Latex finish reminded me of ND’s Cream-Powder formulas a bit.
Not yet, I don’t. I’ve been wanting Biba for some time, but something else new and exciting always comes along and so I wind up not getting it during whichever sale is going on at Sephora.
This was hands down my favourite palette of 2019!! Very very good formulas!
I was really surprised by the Latex ones… actually… working, LOL.
There are some lovely products here. I haven’t tried the latex formula so this is a maybe. I have been seeing a lot of neutral palettes lately. Seems like they are having a moment. I love the look you created, Christine.
Since every shade has Borosilicate and I’m trying to limit my eyelid exposure to it, this is a no for me. Pretty though if that’s no concern…
What a nice little palette – the sort of thing that makes getting read an easy process. I even like the black in this (and I’m someone who has enough black eyeshadows to last til the NEXT millenium!).
Wow , NABLA is really rocking the quality of these, I might have to take a closer look at this brand .
This palette is too warm for my taste, but that latex formula sounds and looks really interesting. It’s nice to see something new coming down the pike 😉
A really beautiful little palette (although I do think the black shade is out of place here – perhaps a grey tone?). Love the colour story and I think those mattes look quite stunning.
I love that Latex Matte formula!! Makes me want to get it and try it out… ?
The formula sounds really interesting, and the shadows look amazing.
I may get this little palette along with the coral one at the end of my no buy. I think I would use it all the time!
