Jouer Deep to Dark Sunswept Bronzer Duo Review & Swatches
Deep to Dark
Jouer Deep to Dark Sunswept Bronzer Duo ($30.00 for 0.39 oz.) is a new, permanent bronzer duo designed for deeper skin tones. As both shades are more matte and slightly thinner in consistency with the deeper shade taking a little extra effort to diffuse and blend out, particularly over bare skin, due to its inclination in darkening a touch when it came into contact with the natural oils on my skin. Otherwise, both shades had rich pigmentation and lasted for eight to nine hours on me.

Sunglow
Sunglow is a muted, medium red-brown with neutral-to-warm undertones and a matte finish. The bronzer had rich, opaque color coverage in one layer, which applied evenly to bare skin and blended out well. The texture was more forgiving than the other shade as I didn’t notice any darkening or shine coming through when applied over bare skin (due to coming into contact with natural oils). It wore well for eight and a half hours before showing signs of wear.

Sungaze
Sungaze is a medium-dark, reddish-brown with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque color coverage in a single layer, where a little went a long way, so you’ll want to build up coverage using a lighter hand if you prefer a sheerer result. The texture felt smooth, almost velvety to the touch, but it was slightly thinner and was more reactive to natural oils, so it was the type of consistency I’d recommend working with over a mattified base (like on top of a setting or finishing powder vs. liquid foundation). It blended out fairly well over bare skin in spite of the texture, though. It lasted well for nine hours before fading visibly on me.

Because I absolutely LOVE these types of reddened bronzers for a true sun-kissed, slightly burnt effect, these are in my wheelhouse. I do have CP Bits And Pieces, so I’m set with a good one already. These DO look smoother, however.
I’ve been keeping an eye on the two lighter duos: the lightest one is a favorite amongst very light toned folks and I wonder if it would be too light on me
I love this kind of reddish bronzer instead of orange ones. What’s your lip color? It’s the perfect red and goes so well with your eye look and the bronzers!
Much too dark for me of course, but I think this duo is absolutely gorgeous. The red undertones are beautiful.
I loves these shades and would totally go for it if they were lighter. I wonder if the lighter shades have nice red undertones like these.
I somehow have this post pinned at the top of Temptalia. Can someone help me on how I accomplished that and how I might unpin it? My corgis walk across my keyboard alla time. ?
That’s all me, not sure how that happened!
