Tom Ford Destroy & Risk Lip Sparks Reviews & Swatches
Destroy
Tom Ford Beauty Destroy Lip Spark ($55.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark red with subtle, cool undertones and a mix of finer, ruby red shimmer and larger ruby sparkle. The texture was creamy without being too slippery, so it glided easily across my lips and felt comfortable to wear. The color applied evenly and the shimmer/sparkle distributed well, too. It had nearly opaque color payoff in a single layer, which wore well for six hours and felt hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$56.00/0.1 oz. - $560.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to "look" like "loose glitter on lips" with "uniform payoff" and "multidimensional color" paired with an "emollient" feel. The pigmentation varied from medium to semi-opaque that adhered evenly and fairly smoothly to my lips. The consistency varied from emollient without any grit/texture from the glittery bits to slightly noticeable during application but didn't feel gritty or rough to me while worn (for any of the shades).
The texture had slip but was lightweight and on the thinner side, so it did not feel slippery. Only one shade was problematic--Surge--which clumped up and was sheerer compared to the other shades. They lasted between four and six hours and were lightly hydrating over time. They had a hint of vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

Destroy
PPermanent. $56.00.
Risk
Tom Ford Beauty Risk Lip Spark ($55.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a muted, deeper burgundy with neutral-to-cool undertones and a sprinkling of lighter pink and fuchsia micro-sparkle. It had semi-sheer to medium color coverage in a single layer, and it did not build up well. The texture was lightweight, thin, and emollient but a little slippery, which resulted in the product sinking into lip lines noticeably. I also had issues where the color appeared splotchy with some accumulated areas, so it was one of the more unflattering products I’ve worn in awhile as a result. It lasted well for five hours but had additional settling over time, though it was hydrating at least.

Big difference in performance.
Destroy looks just like the perfect hot molton candy apple red! It literally smoulders! ?
Risk was not one well taken. [Pun intended]
Wow, one gets an A the other gets an F! Thanks for reviewing Christine at least if I’m going to pull the trigger I know which one to buy. My list for the Rouge sale is starting.
Love both of these shades, but Risk is a big disappointment. Thank goodness for the dupe list and both Revlon and CP have pretty good dupes for both of these shades.
Oooh that red!?❤️
I love Destroy and happy it received a good review. Looked great on you Christine. I am almost positive it will work for me. Perfect amount of sparkle. I don’t have dupes.
And NYX fir the win on the dupe page! That’s a shocker.
Well, at least I’m no longer tempted by Risk. I love Destroy, but I have the Too Faced dupe, so that’s nice.
