Holiday 2019 Swatches - Eye Sets by Charlotte Tilbury, Laura Mercier, Urban Decay

Next up.. Here are some swatches of various holiday eye sets that I photographed yesterday. As I mentioned in the sneak peek for lip sets posted earlier today, the sets featured in this post are listed below, and please use the group shot to indicate where the next set begins! The sneak peek was designed for same-brand collections/releases rather than a multi-brand extravaganza!

Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I was on the fence about the Naked Honey palette…but the mini palette, with a primer, a 24/7 liner (which I use exclusively) AND setting spray? Done and done!

I always like the “idea” of the Laura Mercier Caviar shadow stick sets more than the actuality of them. I got a set a few years ago and, but for Amethyst, hardly use it – the other shades were all quite light and quite similar. I do love the shadow sticks but prefer to buy the full sizes in the shades I get use of (Khaki especially).

I feel similar regarding the LM caviar sticks. LM amethyst is the only one I kept from the set I bought a few years ago. I found some of them too similar to others too. I prefer ones from Kiko, By Terry and Julep. That said, I rarely use them and when I do, it’s just one color on the lid. I don’t like how imprecise the crayons are and blending more than one has never worked well for me. I doubt that I’d ever buy another crayon again.

I have and love several of the LM Caviar Sticks and get along with the formula pretty well. I mostly use them for one and done looks and Cobblestone is my most use stick. Having said that, none of these shades are appealing to me. The Intense Amethyst doesn’t look Amethyst to me at all and the other’s are too light. So, money saved for me!

I am waiting for your review of the two CT palettes. Can’t decide which one is better pillow talk pops or celestial eyes!

Thanks a lot for the swatches.
