Anastasia Violet Liquid Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a deep purple with subtle, cool undertones and a flat, matte finish. It was slightly muted, which made it less dupable compared to other purple liquid lipsticks I’ve come across. It had rich color coverage that applied evenly and smoothly in a single layer. The consistency was smooth, fluid, but not too runny or thin, so I didn’t have issues applying it to my lips. The liquid lipstick dried down within 30 seconds, but it did have a clingier dry down that emphasized the texture of my lips. This shade stayed on well for six and a half hours but was slightly drying over time.

Absolutely gorgeous shade, but looks too dry for me. I think I’m going through a no-mattes phase.

What a rich shade of *true* purple! The only deal-breaker is the formula. I do have MAC Lust Extract, not quite as beautiful as this, though.

These were great the very first time they came out but the rest of the liquid lipstick formulas suck. I love the lipgloss tho, still one of the best
I do like their lipgloss, too, overall!
I like liquid matte lipsticks/stains (Lancôme, Dior) but ABH formula does not work for me. It is very drying on my lips and it shows in a matter of minutes. The existing lip lines are too accentuated to look good, unfortunately.

Wow! This looks great on you. Especially with your eye makeup. I don’t think I could pull this color off. The only purple I have, that I can get away with, is that lipgloss by Fenty, which is gorgeous.
I nearly DIED when I saw that shade of purple! It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for (Kontrol in matte liquid lip basically!)!! Was excited to find ABH was doing a buy 1 get 1 free for national lipstick day. Got this one and Currant and sort of sadly I found the formula to be extremely dry! It cracks and flakes off and I get like…dust…coming off of my lips and it looks like eyeshadow fallout??? Very weird, this is the first time I’ve used ABH liquid lipsticks and I found it did not feel as “weightless” and as refined as formulas by other companies 🙁
Will definitely still wear the 2 colours I got, but won’t be as enthusiastically reaching for them like I’d hoped…
